With his strong arms still wrapped around her waist, the man pulled her into his embrace, engulfing her in the warmth of his arms.
He kissed her back, closing his eyes and drinking her in. Pulling away slightly, Enid stared into his eyes and drank in his features. His mesmerizing gunmetal gray eyes, his dark shock of hair that fell in waves and adorned his beautiful facial features.
"I have missed you so much. So much, you do not understand."
She slipped her fingers through his soft hair. He closed his eyes and inhaled softly, loving the feel of her fingers running through his scalp.
"I have missed you too, Enid." He said in the most beautiful baritone voice. Her insides melted.
She sighed. "It's been so hard these few days, Garrick, you have no idea. "
