IRIS. I woke up with a jumpstart. My body was at alert and I was having severe palpitations. It just had to be a dream. I leaned back against the bed and placed a hand on my head as I sighed in resigned relief. It felt so real. So so real. A lucid dream? It had to be. In that dream, I had been running for my life after I had seen a way to finally escape Damon and his rather annoying mother. It felt like redemption. I was finally going to be free and the fear in my heart didn't matter because it was soon going to be over. Just like how it had started. But things became strange when I got to a clearing that had water running across.
