The voices from the Madox Mansion's living room spilled out.
Clara's voice was heated. "Julian Madox, if you help that woman again, you'll lose me!"
"I've already given Everly Estate to Alice." Julian's voice was firm. "How the Everly family handles it is up to them."
"Then I'll take it up with the Everly family." Elijah's voice followed. "Rosa is still my wife at heart. She's only angry because she cares about me. Once she calms down, she'll come back to me. And the Sterlings and Madoxs will both benefit. You'll help me, right? Rosa trusts you. I hope you explain things to her, Uncle Julian. We're family and partners. You will do that, won't you?"
