I stood there in stunned silence as Skye bolted from the bathroom, her scream echoing in my ears as she pushed me away like I had burned her. The door banged open, and before I could fully process what was happening, she was gone—out of the room, down the hallway, and out the main door in mere seconds.
What the f**k just happened? Had I done something wrong?
