Barely a week after Mrs. Wilson's funeral, Lauren gave birth to a baby boy.

He announced to everyone, "From now on, Lauren will be the mistress of this house. We will be getting married this month. You two should start calling her 'Mother' as soon as possible, and don't distance yourselves from your mother and younger brother."
Rosie stood up in utter shock and disbelief, "Mom has only been gone for a week, and you are already bringing another woman into this house?"
Mr. Wilson's face suddenly darkened, "What kind of discouraging nonsense is that? If I don't marry Lauren, am I supposed to leave her and our son with no home to return to?"
Rosie's voice trembled, "Have you ever considered Mom's feelings by doing this?"
