I kept pace with Simon and Nicon as we left the forest. The air was filled with hundreds of fairies that fluttered around us as they all marched toward the grand battle. I knew we still had another stop, or at least I did. I didn’t want to part with them, but dragging hundreds of fairies with me wouldn’t be the best of ideas either. “Nicon, I need to talk to the kelpies, and to the sirens that might be around there.”
Indy had been riding on April’s shoulder and turned around at my words. “You know where there are more sirens?”
I nodded. “I know where many fae live, Imp. The huacas, the lamas, the landvaettir, and more.”
The imp licked its lips as she stared at me. As if I didn’t know what was going through her mind. “I will not summon creatures here just for you to feast on, vermin.”
