JAY'S POV
"Do something!" I shouted angrily at Zelda who looked on in as much confusion as everyone else's. Blossom didn't have a fighting chance anymore and every one of us was stuck in some kind of suspension. It was almost like the world had stopped existing for a moment and we were all suspended in time.
"Zelda!" I snapped again startling her but the look in her eyes wasn't one I wanted to believe. She had given up.
"There's nothing I can do past that Jay. My powers don't go to that extent and she tapped into it knowing the risks."
"Aren't you supposed to be protecting her?" I asked but the question rang back inside my head. She was my mate, that was my responsibility too and if I was blaming anyone, I was also on the list.
