Silver Night

PREFACE

"... Though I walk in the valley of the shadow of death,

I fear no evil:

For thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of thine enemies:

Thou anointest my head with oil;

My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:

And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."

I... must... get to... him! That devious jerk! 

How could he lead me through experiencing things I never had before and, then, throw away everything so easily? Ugh! All of the created memories... The ones that made me realize my life had gotten so much better and brighter after being with him and his family. Of all the things he has done for me and given to me like his 

devotion, 

a bond, 

his heart,

This is what he does? This is what he is willing to do... For me? The least I could do is save him after so much! All those days of being afraid has to stop right now!  Those merciless slaughters that happened all around me before, I can't let the same thing happen to him!  Because, in this moment, my best friend needs me! 

The night was silver, and the moonlight illuminated a pathway that led directly where I needed to go. From this moment on, I will try my best and give back everything I've received. I will give into my courage. No more running and no more hiding! I will sacrifice myself if I have to because he is my family, now! I love him. 

Yes, my best friend! It IS my turn to save you!
