Karen signed loudly as she sat on the designed chair inside her perfect office which was much better and bigger than her whole house , drowned in her wide thoughts , As remembered the doctors words earlier towards her mum's health

" Your mum's health is at stake ,miss and I'm afraid we can't keep her in our hospital any longer , she needs a better hospital where she can be provided better treatments and for that to be done , her payments needs to be paid , including the accumulated ones , her flight ticket also needs to be prepared so that she can carry out the surgery immediately if you want her to live longer "

The doctor voice rang in her head again

Like how was she ever going to get $50,000 to pay for the surgery which has to be carried out on her mum's kidney unfailingly a day after tomorrow

What about the payment for her flights ?

And the accumulated bills ? .... The months of payments she has lagged for , instead of paying them off ?

She signed deeply , as she grabbed her phone to check her account balance

She had nothing in there !

Absolutely nothing !

She had used it to pay off her sister's school bills Mila , who has been threatening her in school for some weeks now and now she has nothing left .

She has nothing in mind to do

No one to help , her step mum and along side with her daughter , Samantha had ganged up together and successfully chase them out of their home , seizing all their properties and parents investment snatching it as theirs after the death of her dad , maybe if he was still much alive

Maybe things would have been much better

She tossed her back backwards in disappointment and frustration , wondering why her dad could let them suffer in this kind of condition. She raised her brows when her phone made some sounds , as she stared at it , Her throat immediately went dry at the stare of the caller ID ... It was her boss calling , the devilish cold boss of her's , who despites her so much , sometimes she wonders why it was so ... She hasn't done anything wrong to him ever since she started working as an PA to him ... Okay maybe being a bit clumsy at work

But was that enough reason for his unknown hatred towards her ?

She held her fist tightly, wondering why he was calling ... She took the call slowly with a heavy heart

" Boss... "

" To my office now !" His cold voice sounded boldly , sharply and authoritatively from the other side of the call ,as he cut it immediately

She immediately stood up uprightly dragging herself out of the office with some piles of files along with her .

Still debating, wishing and wondering how on earth she could get such kind of money the doctor was demanding.. even more !

She can't let her mum die , she is the only one she has a long side with her ungrateful sister who was a very big pain in the ass , seeing every misfortune as her fault .. It really hurts to have an unsupportive sister like Mila ...

On second thought, her mind immediately clicked on an idea ... Maybe she could seek some help from her boss ... But was he ever going to help her out from this mess ?

She has always known her boss for someone who is always submissive to his work and married to his work as long as you are in the company and office and nothing else. Also he advises his workers to be like that ...

He hates anything unprofessionalism

With this was he even going to help her out ? She bit her lips slowly though hurtfully as she battled with her different and crazy thoughts making her way to the CEO office .

CEO's OFFICE

The interior of the office , it's so wide and warm , there is a burning heater and comfortable sofas and a golden slate on his near desk .

HAWKINS ALEXANDER

He was sitting on one part of the big sofa, his eyes fixed on the laptop in front of him as his hands moved crazily on the keyboard , his eyes still forced on it .. when he heard some knocks as he rolled his eyes , he already knew who was there .

" Come in " he said coldly as Karen walked in with a heart seize , staring at him shyly , his well ironed suits stood firm on his body ,as he revealed the three first button of the cloth making him look insanely hot , his chest and abs came to view , rendering Karen speechless as she stared at him with a side eyes , she was sure others lady too , won't be able to resist a hot , sexy and handsome boss that she has .. it was a normal thing in the company , the ladies employees has a great crush on him but they dare do not spill it out , that alone is a crime to him .

" Y...o.u called for me sir " she shuttered slowly as he raised his head to her's .

" What are my schedules ?" He asked his eyes not moving an inch from the laptop to her , as she brought out her own laptop fastly from her side bag

" You are supposed to meet Mr Mikel , the CEO of MarkLand company today by 2 pm for a business collaboration in a RICHES restaurant, and the deal is quite eligible. .. You are also to meet Luna , the president daughter of For a blind date and ....

" Cancel the date " he said icky as Karen nodded , it has always been like it , his parents setting different dates for him but he doesn't acknowledge them and she wonders why .

" Okay ... Sir " she said slowly

Suddenly the door swings widely revealing a beautiful slender lady ... Mrs Hawkins the mother of Alexander with some guards behind her as she matches angrily toward Alex ,Karen moved backwards slowly as she frowned slowly wondering why she was here , she did send her guards to send a message to Alex , instead of coming .

She greeted her but she wasn't even in the mood to answer .

" I can't believe you Alex , Luna has been waiting patiently for you in the restaurant since 12 pm and here you are trying to cancel the date ?" She shouted as Alex rolled his eyes

He knew why she was here and he isn't in for that now

" You must attend the date Alex , you can't keep doing this because of her , Alex ! She is now a past , you have got to move on from Isabella and get married instead " she snapped hard as Alex sighed loudly

"I already made it clear several times that I'm not interested in all this mum ! " he said coldly

" You can't say that Alex !" His mum shouted as Karen eyes itches from where she stood staring at the two

He wasn't only cold to them but his mother too ?

And what about Isabella ? Who is she ? His former love or what ?

Does she have a toll on him making him turn into a very cold and formidable monster and heartless being towards people especially ladies ? Even the shareholders of the company wasn't an exception they knew how the CEO is

Her mind ran with different thoughts trying to comprehend what was going on but she couldn't; she just kept a calm look staring at them .

Alex ran through his black silk hair , in frustration as he stared at his mother who was really glaring at him .

His parents have really been disturbing him over getting an heir for the family and bride too ,but he doesn't want that .

So sorr..y , I wi..ll take my l..leave now " she said fastly as she bowed down again nervously when she saw the stare of mother and son on her , really frightening .. she thoughts as she rushed out of the office fastly , as Mrs Hawkins eyes followed her sensitivity with some curls of smile by the side of her lips before facing Alex who frowned when he saw that

" Your father already made it clear that the company with be taken from you and give them to your cousin if you don't provide an heir for the family alongside with a bride, who will always support you in all your doing" she stated calmly this time as he raised his brow with a cocky smirk

" Take the company from me ? You mean my company ? How absurd "

" Shut up Alex , You got ta hear me out , all your company will be taken from you to your cousin who is in Australia , all your company and investments ! You should know even though you are the CEO of this company , your father still have an access to all your investments and companies , you should do what your dad want and provide an heir for the company to secure the family fortune " She said further as he scoffed loudly

o attend the date ! " She shouted loudly as Alex frowned hard
