It was a long day filled with meetings and paperworks . Then there was a huge reception full of deplomats. This was the worst part of being an Emperor. All these scheming and smiling. I would rather be in a battlefield, than talk with these ministers. Tonight she was the talk of the town. Everybody was either talking about the advantage of this marriage or her beauty. For she was known to be the one of most beautiful women on the entire empire. I instinctively went to her and held my hand towards her. She raised her brow, and then took my hand. She was so much better from me in talking. She talked with every person in the room as if they were her closest relatives. She would compliment women on their dresses, jewels and beauty. She listened to vain men talk about their glory. (most of those who had never even seen a battlefield.) "You are extremely good at this you know" I told her. She looked at me as if surprised and then smirked. "Compliments from your majesty himself" She said. "Today is your lucky day my lady" . Two Could play this game."am I interrupting something, your grace" said Meena,emphasising on your grace to correct Alina. She had heard our conversations. Alina left my hand and said"See you later your majesty". Meena frowned. I failed to stop myself from smiling. Meena took hold of my arm and led us towards the buffet. Meena was my first wife and closest confidant. We got married when we were 18 and through the years, we had built quite an understanding. She knew me like the back of her hand. She was also one of the most arrogant woman in the world. Perhaps Alina and she would be best of friends.we had a son together, Rehaan who lived in the pink Palace. All kids below 14 lived in pink Palace. We talked to some other people when the king of Saypur arrived "you are a lucky one emperor you got the key to the North and an extremely beautiful wife in one person. Meena frowned. Though I didn't care much about her beauty because she will always hate me and I didn't to waste my time in wooing her.
