Alina "Is this alright, princess" said Maya braiding my hair in a long braid. "yes, it's fine" I replied she turned to leave. "And Maya I will miss you." She smiled and bowed "so would I princess" she said and left. So physically I was all prepared to leave Emar and go to Arga. I wanted to cry i knew it might be the last time I was seeing Emar,so I did, I cried my heart out for about ten minutes which felt an eternity. Then, I splashed water on my and called Maya to redo my makeup. All this led to us getting late. But secretly this act of defiance made me satisfied. I wanted to show them that I would live by my own rules. I think I did. As I came out, it felt that Earth began to shake. That bastard, I never thought he would do this. The red flag with black cross of Emar was replaced by the blue and white stripped flag of Arga. "As we had a bit of time, I thought we could use it to replace the flag" said my husband. He did it to show me down. What a rascal. I never thought I could hate him any more than I already did. But I kept quiet. My entire family cried as they bid me farewell, but I didn't. I would not let him give him the satisfaction. With the most expressionless I could be I bid farewell to my family and my people, who came from everywhere to see me. I smiled at them and waved my hand. Suddenly another hand grasped mine and he waved his hand and said "long live the Empire" as if he was the emperor already. Then we reached for the exit. A huge carriage with four men came my way. "I would not sit in a carriage while everyone else would ride horses". The soldiers looked perplexed and went to fetch their commander. Commander Arjun frowned and came my way. "it doesn't matter if you can ride a horse or not, women especially newly married ones always sit in the carriage". was this a joke. "this is because they are not taught to ride a horse. But I assure you commander I am an excellent rider and I will ride". He frowned at my response. It felt like men of Arga hated if anyone interrupted them. Fools. "what's the matter" asked my husband. The commander without taking his eyes off me told him my wish to ride. As if I was seeking an adventure and not riding out of neccssity. "She can ride if she wants to, let's not make a big deal out of it". The commander looked like someone had stripped him of his titles. "fine, My lady you may choose any horse". I don't know why but I chose his horse. Maybe it was my vanity or arrogance. But I wanted to show him down and it seemed I was quite successful. "where are we riding" I asked one of the soldiers. "kingdom of Arilia"
