Christmas had come and gone. The Christmas CD would be wonderful, and I’d gotten Walt to promise he wouldn’t put my picture on the cover. Everyone was happy with the gifts they’d received, and I’d become complacent staying with Janet most nights, only going home to check my mail, study scores, and plan the program notes for spring’s concert which would be fun. There were two new pieces that was a little intricate in places and we’d have a guest soloist to close the program. The orchestra seemed to be handling it well. I knew what I wanted from the one piece and I was getting most of it from the orchestra. I’d have to press them a little harder in a few places and much lighter in others.
