After the tribunal, I had eaten Matthew’s heart raw, or what remained of it. It was disgusting, to say the least. We had no further trouble from anyone, not rogues or even from the Tainted Moon pack. Fortunately, the ‘cave’ was so well soundproofed that no one heard anything and the biggest relief was that Lucy didn’t feel Norman or Matthew’s pain.
For the first two weeks that Lucas was awake, he was forced into bed rest and Lucy hardly left his side. Like me, he slept a lot and Lucy would hum my lullaby and order Lucas to heal. Lucas healed faster than anticipated but was put on light duty. He couldn’t shift yet because there were still traces of wolfsbane in his system.
Wolfsbane apparently takes a lot longer to work its way out of a werewolf’s system
