I heard loud beeping and slowly opened my eyes to a darkish room. I blinked a few times hearing muffled voices and turned my head in the direction and saw Lucy standing on a chair leaning over Lucas, ordering him to heal. Slowly the memories were coming back of what had happened and the doctors explaining my condition and Lucas’s condition.
I felt tears well up in my eyes as they said he is in an induced coma and his injuries were extensive but I was to make a full recovery with only an ugly scar. I felt little hands brush over my cheeks. I opened my eyes to see my sweet little girl’s big green eyes stare at me with a small smile.
