Emma   I watched Matthew and his pack getting ready to leave from the closed glass door leading out onto the balcony with the lace curtains drawn. I had kept Lucy in our bedroom at night and out of Matthew’s prying eyes as much as possible. It's not easy telling a 6-year-old they can’t move about in their own home.
