CHAPTER TWENTY NINE Chloe waited until she got home to call Danielle. During the drive, she allowed herself to calm down, to become less enraged by the absolute arrogance of Julio Alejos. It worked to some degree; when she arrived at her apartment, she no longer felt any homicidal urges toward the man. She put on a kettle for tea and made the call to Danielle. The phone went directly to voicemail. Chloe rolled her eyes, assuming her sister had decided to take one of her random afternoon naps. She wondered if Danielle was even looking for a job anymore.
