Maddie's POV
I was looking at Mariko and just saw a man that I didn't really recognize because of the way that they had beat him up. I continued to hold his hand. I literally thought that he had died. But he is alive, and recovering. I am to be blamed for this. I shouldn't have brought Mariko into this mess.
I pressed a kiss on the back of his hand and then I stood up. "I will make sure that they pay for this," I promised him and then I left.
I told my guards to take me to the prison where the Leonard's are. They refused, but I wasn't going to have any of that. They saw how angry I was and they gave in.
