Yaqub had barely finished his thunderous sentence, which shook the entire corridor, when the heavy door of the operating room slowly opened.A middle-aged doctor emerged, exhaustion etched deeply across his pale face. Sweat beaded on his forehead from the grueling hours spent inside.Yaqub strode toward him with long, commanding steps and asked in a tone that mixed authority with underlying concern:“How is she?”The doctor removed his green surgical mask with a heavy sigh and shook his head regretfully.“Her condition has stabilized for now… We managed to stop the internal bleeding. However, the head injury is extremely concerning.”Yaqub’s brows furrowed in anger, his stern expression putting immense pressure on the doctor as he asked curtly:“Will she live?”“Yes,” the doctor replied. “She has most likely passed the immediate danger stage.”Fatih let out a deep sigh of relief and placed a hand over his chest, grateful the girl hadn’t died inside his boss’s car.But the doctor wasn’t finished. He continued gravely, his voice carrying a warning:“However, we won’t be able to determine the full extent of the neurological damage until she regains full consciousness and can speak to us.”A heavy silence fell over the VIP corridor.Yaqub broke it with a practical question:“Did you find any identification on her? A phone? Anything that could tell us who she is?”The doctor shook his head firmly:“Nothing at all. The pockets of her torn dress were completely empty.”Yaqub turned and stared through the glass partition into the ICU. The girl lay motionless, surrounded by dozens of medical machines and IV drips fighting to keep her fragile body alive. She looked incredibly small in that large bed—fragile like shattered glass, far removed from the kind of major problems and threats Yaqub was used to dealing with in the world of power and wealth. After a moment of hesitation, the doctor added cautiously:“Sir… there’s something else you should know.”Yaqub turned to him with hawk-like eyes.“What is it?”“It appears the girl was subjected to a brutal assault or a violent chase before she reached us and hid in your car.”Yaqub Al-Rashid’s features hardened further, growing colder. His voice dropped low:“Are you certain?”“Yes. The pattern of her wounds and the bruises around her wrists do not look like the result of an ordinary accident or a simple fall. Someone was deliberately trying to harm her.”The temperature in the corridor seemed to drop suddenly as Yaqub’s aura of rage and mystery intensified. He turned his sharp gaze toward his loyal aide, Fatih, and issued orders in a tone that left no room for discussion:“Shut down all records related to her arrival immediately.”“Yes, sir,” Fatih replied at once.“I don’t want a single soul outside this corridor to know she’s here,” Yaqub continued. “Make this a sealed family matter. No one enters this entire floor except the selected medical team, you, and me.” Fatih nodded, ready to act, but before he could take a step, one of Yaqub’s security men rushed over, breathing heavily and holding an encrypted tablet. He bowed respectfully and said:“Sir… we just ran her fingerprints through the database.” Yaqub fixed his piercing eyes on him.“And the result? Who is she?” The security man hesitated for a few seconds, swallowing hard before delivering the shocking news:“There is no result, sir.” Fatih frowned in disbelief and exclaimed:“Impossible! How can there be no match in the system?” The man shook his head helplessly:“We checked everywhere—civil records, immigration, criminal databases, even government and private hospital files. There is no trace of her fingerprints or her face. Nothing at all.” Everyone exchanged stunned glances, confusion written across their faces. A strange, unsettling feeling filled the air—as if this girl had not existed in this world before this rainy night… Or as if someone with terrifying influence had deliberately erased her from existence, wiping away every trace of her. Only then did Yaqub Al-Rashid slowly turn around. He fixed his deep, enigmatic gaze on the motionless body behind the glass, took a long drag from his cigar, and whispered to himself for the first time, his voice filled with both bewilderment and challenge:“Who the hell are you…?”
