The Next Day Part 2

    They walked to the entrance and the doormen opened the door and they walked inside. The host asked, ''Do you have a reservation'', looking  at Finn but Blue interjected and said, ''Walker...for two'' and the host took them to there seats. People looked at them peculiarly and whispering as they walked to there seats. Finn could sense  Blue's feelings of uncomfortableness so he stood up from his seat and said, ''DOES ANY ONE OF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS LADY? IF SO, WE CAN TAKE THE s**t OUTSIDE''! When Finn said that everyone turn around and started eating their food again. ''Griffinn, you didn't have to do that,'' said Blue in a surprised whisper! He said, ''I know I didn't' but I'm not going to have them making you feel uncomfortable when you didn't do nothing but show up. 

     Plus you're a nice person. Baby I'm not gonna let nobody hurt you as long as you're with me''. Blue cheeks began change to the color of red from her blushing. Finn got up from his seat and came around to Blue, kissing her soft red lips then returned to his seat. A waiter approached the table and said, ''Hello, my name is May and I'll be your waitress this afternoon. Can I start you with something to drink'?. Finn said, ''yes May we would like to have some drinks''. ''Well, what can I get you ma'am,'' asked May. ''You can get me a Hurricane Punch Cocktail,'' Blue said. ''And you Mr. Bailey,'' she asked Finn? ''Rum and Coke neat,'' he replied. 

      ''Okay, I'll be right back with your drinks,'' May said then she left. About 15 minutes later the waitress came back with the drinks. ''I'm back...here's a Hurricane Punch Cocktail for you ma'am and a Rum and Coke neat for you , sir. So, are we ready to order yet,'' May the waitress asked them? Blue looked at Finn and said, ''are you ready to order''? He nodded his head yes and said, ''baby you can go first''. ''Okay, I'll like the Grilled Chicken with Mash Potatoes, Gravy with Broccoli meal,'' said Blue. Finn said, ''well, I'll have the T-bone Steak instead of the Chicken and everything else she ordered. 

      ''Ok, I'll be back with your orders a.s.a.p.,'' May said and then she left to prepare their food. Finn gently grabbed Blue's hand and she said, ''I'm glad to see you again Griffinn. I wanted to see you last week''. ''Baby, I've really been busy but I was thinking of you too. So is this a date or just lunch,'' asked Finn? Blue started to blush again cheeks turning red. ''Baby you don't have to make up something to see me just ask,'' he said. ''Okay, since you say that I was hoping that this would be our third date if you were cool with that,'' asked Blue? ''Sure goddess, that's fine with me baby. I love going out with you and being in your presence,'' said Finn.

       ''Our next date I would like to cook for you,'' said Finn. She said, ''You cook Griffinn? That's a surprise to hear. No offense but many men don't know how to cook. Maybe the basics but other than that... And he interjected sharply, ''well, I can my old earth taught me and my siblings growing up. Her and my father told us that we should never depend on someone to feed us. We always have to be self sufficient and from then til now Love I've gone by that code; especially me being a single man and all,'' said Finn. 

       ''Well you had very great parents Griffinn. They prepared you for the future very well,'' said Blue. ''What are you doing for the Christmas and New Year's Eve,'' asked Finn? ''Oh, I'll be home watching the ball drop like I do every year,'' Blue answered. ''Well, this year won't you spend it with me. Think about it; it'll be fun,'' Finn said. Blue smiled with glee and said, ''Okay I'll think about it and get back to you''. Just as she said that May was coming with the food and said humorously, ''Okay kids, the food is all ready. 

       For the nice lady here's your order of the Grilled Chicken with Mashed Potatoes smothered in our house TyChris Gravy and succulent Broccoli. I'm a tell you personally it's bomb girl and for your campanion here's your juicy T-Bone Steak with everything else that your campanion has ordered. Correct''? ''Yep, everything is correct and looks delicious May,'' said Blue! Finn agreed and said, ''Word is life May. You most def did your thing on this''. 

      ''I wish I could take all the credit on this but this was prepared by our owners Ty-God and Chris-Ali themselves but when go to the back I'll make sure to tell them for you. I'll be in the viccinity so if you need me just call my name. Okay I have to tend these other orders so I'll be around'' she said. ''Alright sis, do your thing. Get that fetti ma.

       I see you and we will if we need you,'' Finn said and May departed tending to the other customers. When May left Blue said, ''That's what I'm talking about. Great customer service and she's so nice and professional. I'm surprise that your phone hasn't rang yet since we've been here''. Finn said, ''Sheeed, that's because I told my assistant that I don't want to be disturbed only if it's an emergency. I wanted you to have your undivided attention.

           It seems like everytime we're together we get...''. Blue interrupted and said, ''you didn't have to do that Griffinn; I know how busy you can be''.  ''Yes I did! If I'm going to keep seeing you I have work around it. I think you're worth it plus with your busy schedule I wanna cherish every moment I can get with you,'' he said. Blue attempting to be understanding and compromising said, ''Griffinn, you don't have to do that. You can call me or text me. That'll be good enough. I understand you're a very busy man''. 

        ''So you're saying if we don't see each other until the new year you will be fine with that,'' asked Finn? An expression of somberness fell upon Blue's beautiful face from Finn's response which answered his question. He continued, ''see I know it's not gonna be enough. Not for me anyway. I would miss you I want more than that calling and texting s**t. The vibrations you sending me and your body language tells me you want the same too. 

        Stop frowning baby I love it when you smile. Believe me goddess I'm not going to do that anyway,'' Finn said. As they continued in deep conversation May approached the table and asked, ''Excuse me, is everything fair or is their anything else you may want before I go to the back''? Blue and Finn looked at each other and said, ''Everything was superb and on point''! ''May we would like the check,'' Blue said. ''Yes ma'am, I gotchu and I'll bring it when I come back out from the kitchen. 

        Thank you for coming to TyChris and don't be a stranger,'' she said. ''Griffinn I have to ask you something,'' Blue said. ''Sure ma you can ask me anything,'' said Finn. ''You remember the other day when I was out buying books and stuff for school,'' she asked? ''Yeah I remember,'' he replied. ''Later that day when I went to the mall and grocery store and tried to pay for my items; the clerks told me it was already paid for. Did you do that,'' Blue asked? With a smirk on his face Finn said, I know what you're gonna say but yes it was me.

       I couldn't help it Blue. I'm really a generous and giving person especially for people who are trying to make advances in there life and no you don't have to pay me back. Just look at it as a small token of our friendship. I hope you ain't upset with me, are you,'' asked Finn? ''No, thank you but I did wanna show my gratitude and appreciation for it so,'' she said and just as she said that May was bringing the check. Blue gave her the credit card, May swiped the card reader and handed her copy of the receipt. May said, "o.k., yall have a great rest of your day''. Finn and Blue both said, ''you too May'' but before she turned around to depart Blue said, ''Here May I wanted to give this to you too''.

        She handed May the waitress a $100.00 dollar bill and said, ''Thanks for great waitress service and care''. May looked at Finn and Blue in astonishment and hugged them both and said, ''Thank you and whenever you come here you ask for May and I will personally service your table. Peace and Blessings to the both''. May left to go back to the kitchen and Finn stood up from his seat to help Blue. He said as he assisted her from her chair pulling  it so that she could get up, ''See, and that's why I f***s with you. You're such a sweet and generous person. Just a beautiful energy to be around''. ''Thank you Griffinn. 

            You're not bad if I may say so myself''. Would she be saying that if she only knew. They exited The TyChris Restaurant to Finn's car and left enroute back to Blue's rest. They pulled up in front of Blue's house and Finn helped her out. He walked her to the door and said, ''Blue thanks for taking me to lunch today. I really had an awesome time buildin' with you and learning more and more about you. Lets get together some time very soon? ''We will very soon. I'll make sure of it,'' she said. ''I'll see you soon goddess,'' he said and as he began to turnaround to leave Blue grabbed Finn's hand and pulled his shirt to her. 

        They started kissing each other but realized they were outside so they stop and laugh together hugging each other. Finn said, ''Goodbye Ms. Blue Walker and kissed her lips one more time then walked back to his car. ''I'll call you later,'' he told her. She replied, ''Okay I'm a hold you to that''. She shuts her door as Finn drove off. Blue went upstairs to freshen up, changing into her house clothes and started performing some house chores such as washing clothes, cooking  dinner and straightening the house before Ethan came back home from Sandy's crib. By the time she was finished all of that it was 6:30 p.m. She texted Sandy to tell her that she can bring Ethan over. 

        Sandy knocked on the door 20 minutes later with Ethan and when she opened the door he ran to his mommy. Blue picked him up and they embraced as if they hadn't seen each in years. Blue asked, ''How was he''? Sandy said, ''girl you know he was good. We had fun watching Avatar Season One. He loves that''. ''Thanks again my sister,'' Blue said. ''Sure anytime I'm not busy; just let me know. I got to go before my food burns up. See yall later,''she said then left. Blue took Ethan to his room and took his clothes off. 

         She put him in the bathtub where he played for a while then she dried him off. After she was done cleaning him and putting his pajamas on the time was 7:20 p.m. Blue prepared there plates for dinner and brought them to the table so they could eat. While they stuffed there mouths Ethan told his Old Earth how his day was with Sandy. After eating a delicious meal and cleaning Ethan's hands and face she allowed him to go into the living room to watch cartoons as she cleaned the table, put the food away and washed all the dishes. 

          Tasks that when Ethan gets older Blue will have him help her with. She entered the living room to see that he was watching Season Two of Avatar the cartoon. She sat next to him on the couch so they could watch together. After they watched two episodes it was about 8:45 and she saw that Ethan was beginning to get sleepy as he yawned a couple times. ''Okay sun I see you're getting sleepy so lets go to your room and you can pick out a book for me to read to you for night-night,'' she said. ''Alright mama,'' Ethan said. 

       When they get to his room Ethan said, Mommy I want you to read one of them books I hear you reading''. Caught by surprise Blue said, Baby I don't read children's books. I read big people books''. He said, ''pleeeeease mommy read me one of those. I promise I listen''! ''Okay,okay,okay let mommy find one for you, she said and exited his room; coming back with a little book that looked like a pamphlet. ''Before we start here's your inhaler,'' she said. She passed it to him so that he could perform his breathing treatments then he passed it back to his mother. Getting comfortable in his bed he prepared for Blue to read this mysterious book to him.

          Ethan asked Blue, "Mommy what's the name of this book you're gonna read to me called''. ''It's a book a good friend of mine gave me when mommy was younger. It's called "HatShepSut"(pronounced 'hat-shep-soot') by John F. Hatchett. Ready...'' she asked? ''Yes ma'am,'' he said. She began to read the book. He was very attentive. Every word his mother said fell upon his ears like the soft sounds of the wind. Just as she reached the last page of the book she looked up. Ethan was asleep, she smiled, tucked him in his covers more comfy, kissed him on his cheeks, dimmed the lights and closed the door leaving it ajar. She went to her bedroom laid in her bed thinking about her time with Griffinn from earlier and how their lunch date went allowing the cousin of death to take over.
