The Meeting

        Finn gets into a money-green custom kitted vintage `89 chevy nova, told his driver Fox that he has a meeting at what he calls "The Enterprise", the family business. "Yes, boss on it, check," said his driver. As they drove off en route to "The Enterprise" Finn began to daydream about his time he spent with Blue  especially when they ate lunch together. Finn really enjoyed the little time spent with Blue. He thought to himself, ''my goodness Blue is so intriguing, intelligent, humorous and beautifully magnetic.

       I remember her saying along with her being manager she also goes to Brisk Cool University in her sophomore year, majoring in Business on a full scholarship. I wonder what that entails. I`ll get Marcus to look into it before school starts. I notice when I asked her about her family she changed the subject, they must be on the outs. Hopefully she`ll tell me in due time. I won`t pressure her nor push her. Finn was in his own world thinking about Blue when his driver called him. "Boss we here,'' said his driver named Fox. "Thanks Fox,'' said Finn, coming out of his daydream of Blue. Finn got out of the whip and walked inside of Bailey Enterprise building, got on the elevator and went to thirty-seventh floor. 

     As he got off the elevator and opened the door to the office his assistant Ms. Green walked up handing him a folder files of todays` meeting. "Ms. Green is Taylor and my brothers here,'' Finn asked? "Yes Boss, they`re waiting for you in your office,'' Ms. Green said. ''Is the Black Brothers here yet,'' he asked? ''No sir they called, they`re stuck in traffic but they said they should be here no later than 4:15," answered Ms. Green. "That`s what up, it`s only 3:25 anyway. When they get here put them in the big conference room please and  here`s some muffins I got for the meeting, also can you make some of that delicious coffee you be brewing,'' said Finn.

       "Yes boss, I`ll begin on it right now. Everything will be ready in preparation of the setup of the meeting and I gotchu on the coffee. I`ll even throw some marshmellows in there for yall,'' she said. He said, "Thanks Ms. Green we`ll get together later and build in a cipher, peace." "Peace god thanks," she said. Finn got on the elevator and pushed the button for the  thirty-sixth floor. On descension to the 36th Finn began to visualize his lunch date with Blue again. When the elevator door opened he was smiling, got off and walked into his office. Peace, Landon and Logan, how yall two been doing? What up Tay,'' Finn said. "C`mon on b you know I hate that nickname,'' Taylor said. Everyone there bust out in uncontrollable laughter. Taylor said, ''So...umm...how was the little lunch date with that sister, loverboy.

       When Taylor said that Finn stop laughing and looked at Taylor as if to say why you say something. Landon and Logan looked at Finn and in unison said, "what lunch date yo?" ''Nothing let get,'' Finn said, but Logan interrupted Finn and said, ''nooooo, what lunch date...who is this and how she look?'' ''Yeah Finn how was it for real,'' Taylor asked? "Okay whatever you do just don`t tell ma, I`ll tell her when I thinks the time`s right. Alright...her name is Blue Walker, she`s 20 years-old and she`s an assistant manager at Dan`s Coffee Shop.

       She`s about 5'2'', a beautiful little something with a nice bangin` body but you know what? She`s got a wonderful sense of humor with an intelligence beyond her years,'' said Finn. "You like her,'' Landon asked? Yeah, I like her a lot. I can`t get this goddess out of my mind. I`ve been thinking about her a lot. I`m not sure of her vibe is with me, tho. Logan said, ''Finn you`ve never liked or love a lady since we been born. So she must be special to you for to be falling for her like this. ''Word Bruh...Do you  think she might be the one for you,'' said Landon? "Yeah, Taylor said the same thing the other day.

       How did you both know that Laila, Na`Niyah and Ashanti was the one,'' asked Finn. Taylor said, ''I knew Laila was the one because she was always on my mind and I couldn`t see myself without her.'' ''Is that how you both fell for Na`Niyah and Ashanti,'' Finn asked? Before they could answer Ms. Green came in and said "Sir the Black Brothers are here and in the conference room waiting for you.'' Landon said, ''We`ll finish this conversation later.'' They all left the office and walked down to the conference room. Finn and the others walked in to take their seats as he took his proper place at the head of the table. 

     "Good Evening to you both Adam and Van. How have you both been today,'' Finn said? Maintainin` 360 Lord and livin` as prosperous as Ptah allows,'' answered Van. "How`s the family,'' asked Adam? "Well...very well, I`ll tell Ma and Pops yall asked of them. Well gentleman let`s get down to B.I. Adam and Van let me tell you something before we start if we`re going to do business together, betrayl and lying will by no means be tolerated. The penalty of betrayl is death. That can be death of you or your entire family. This` the big boy league here.

       A family organization that has practiced group melanated economics for so long won`t tolerate infiltration, so our business partners and associates are carefully vetted so be very careful that this` something you wanna get yourselves involved in,'' said Finn. After listening to Finn, Adam and Van gave  each other a crazy look then back at Finn and finally back at each other. "No pressure my brothers, yall take a few minutes to think and talk about it. We`ll be back to give yall some privacy. C`mon y`all. Yall can go to your offices and I`ll contact yall when I`m ready to head back to the conference room,'' Finn instructed Taylor, Landon and Logan. As Finn and the others go to there offices Adam and Van converse with each other. 

     While in the office Finn took a seat at his desk, pulls his phone out and calls Marcus. "Peace Marcus how`s everything,'' said Finn? "Everything`s going as planned,'' answered Marcus. "I need a favor? I need the number to Dan`s Coffee Shop so I can order some muffins for future meetings. Text it to me, I`m a little busy now'' Finn said. Marcus said, '' Boss you know I can place the order or Ms. Green can take care of that for you.'' "No, No,No that won`t be necessary, you can just text it to me,'' said Finn. "Okay Boss if you insist,'' said Marcus thus texting Finn the number. After Marcus text Dan`s Coffee Shop phone number to Finn, he texted Taylor, Landon and Logan and told them in 15 minutes we`ll go back to the conference room to hear the decision of Adam and Van. After he tells them his instructions he calls Dan`s Coffee Shop.

F:(FINN) C.S.(COFFEE SHOP) B:(BLUE)

C.S: Dan`s Coffee Shop, Ben speaking, how can I help you?

F: Yes, can I please speak to your assistant  manager Ms. Walker please?

B: Hello, Dan`s Coffee Shop Blue speaking ,how can I help you?

F: Peace goddess, how is your day going thus far, I was wondering would it still be okay to slide thru tomorrow and if so what kind of breakfast food do you prefer so I`ll know what to bring when I see you. By the way how is your hand?

B: Grand Rising Griffinn, the morning is actually going great. Sure you can come by the shop. My hand is getting better, not as sore as yesterday. Thanks for asking, as far as food can you bring me some pancakes, turkey bacon, fried potatoes and orange juice... something like that. I would really appreciate it, Griffinn. 

F: Cool, I`ll see you tomorrow beautiful, one love.

B: Goodbye Griffinn have a good day.  

As Finn talked to Blue on the phone he had his back turned to the office door so he didn`t notice Taylor, Landon and Logan standing there waiting for him. When finished on the phone he turned his chair around to see Taylor, Landon and Logan looking at him with smiling expressions on their faces. Finn said, "The f**k wrong with yall? What yall smiling so hard for?" "You got it bad g. You just seen her and you callin` her already," said Logan? "I had to know that she was ok.

       Aww shut up and let`s get back to the meeting. They had long enough time to think about everything,'' Finn said. They went back to the conference room to continue with Van and Adam Black. When Finn walked in Adam and Van stood up in family respect. "Please gentleman be seated...be seated. So Van and Adam you`ve both had ample time to make your decision. Will our families be doing business together,'' Finn asked? The Black brothers looked at each other then looked at Finn then extended their hand to shake Finn`s and said, ''It`s gonna be great doing business with the Bailey family and Bailey Enterprises. We`ll have our financial department manager contact yours to draw up the paper work, '' said Van excitedly. ''Fine, they`ll be working with my brothers, they handle all of that, just let me tell you this the only time you`ll deal with me is if there is a problem.

     Do I make myself clear gentleman,'' Finn said. "Yes, crystal clear Boss,'' Adam and Van said. "Great and  welcome to Bailey Enterprise! Don`t disappoint me guys,'' Finn said. They all got up and left out of the conference room. Taylor, Logan and Landon retreated to their respective offices while Finn escorted Adam and Van to the elevator. "Peace brothers, my Administrative Assistant will be in contact with your office manager to discuss the terms of our agreement,'' said Finn. "They`ll be waiting for the call Mr. Bailey and thank you for the opportunity. Trust us , we won`t let the family down,'' Adam said.

    They both shook Finn`s hand, got on the elevator and left The Enterprise Building. Finn walked back to the main office area where the guys were waiting for him. Taylor said to Finn, ''that went well.''  "True...that`s how a meeting is supposed to be conducted...smooth, quick and productive,'' said Finn. Finn looked out the window and began to daydream. "Finn...Finn...FINN,'' Landon yelled to Finn to get his attention being he couldn`t hear him. "Huh...what... why are you yelling at me,'' Finn asked? We`ve been talking to you for about 20 minutes and you didn`t say anything or even answer our questions,'' Logan said.  "I heard you,'' said Finn. 

      Taylor asked, "Well what was the last thing we said"? "Umm...Umm... I heard yall, Finn retorted. "Daaaaamn B. you got it real  bad. And she even give you some yet...or did she,'' asked Logan. "NOOOO it`s not like that. She`s a nice woman,'' responded Finn. Taylor, Landon and Logan laughed hysterically. "Yall always jokin` in s**t,'' said Finn. "But seriously why don`t you ask her out on a date when you see her tomorrow,'' Taylor suggested. "That might be a good idea,'' Landon and Logan agreed. Finn looked at them and said,  yall think she might say yes,'' Finn asked? "Only one way to find out is to ask her,'' Taylor said. All three of them started laugh at Finn. "C`mon god not you nervous, not the kid. Finn this` the first time in our life we have EVER seen you like this....especially about a woman,'' Logan said. "She`s a coffee girl though...right? This girl must be special. I gotta see this chick for real,'' Landon said. Finn punched both of his brothers in the chest, grab his phone and called Fox his driver and left the office.
