The Question

      Finn went down to the lobby to wait for his chauffer. Ten minutes later Hunter pulled up in a chasis 2039 black Maybach Exelero. Hunter greets Finn, opened the door for him and Finn got inside of the car. Good evening Boss, where to,'' asked Hunter? ''Peace Hunt I`m going my parent`s house,'' answered Finn. As they proceeded en route to Finn`s parents house Finn thought to himself, "Man, I wonder how will ask her out on a date. Any other time a woman would be at my every beckoning call, but this one is different than the others. That`s why I never felt this way before.

     " Hunter said, "Boss we`re here. Tell Mr. & Mrs. Bailey may the peace and blessings of the creator be upon them and yall have a safe and prosperous day.'' "Wow kid, that was a most positive and peaceful farewell I`ve heard in a while. Thank You and I sure will. Peace young brother and here,'' said Finn, as he reaches in his wallet and pulled out two freshly crisp printed one-hundred dollar bills and gives them to Hunter. "Thank You sir," Hunter said to Finn as he responded saying, "No, Thank You young brother and you just be safe out here in this jungle...alright,'' said Finn to Hunter. He said, "Yes sir Boss.

     '' Finn said, "Alright now...Peace we`ll build in a cipher one day...take care.'' Finn got out of the car, shut the door and walked into his parent`s house. "Ayyyy anyone here. Ma and Da are you here,''he yelled out. ''Yeah we`re in the living room with Violet,'' said Mrs. Linda Bailey. When Finn walked into the living room Violet excitingly ran to him, jumping into his arms and hugging him tightly. 

    "Finn I miss you it`s been so long,'' said his little sister as she hops down out of Finn`s arms, straightened her clothes on herself appropriately and stood back a bit and said to her older brother, "I may be your baby sister but I`m 19 years-old now, a freshman at B.C.U. I`ll be graduating in 4 years from now but I will always jump in your arms like I`ve been doing ever since I was baby,'' said Violet.

     He said, I guess that means I`m going to have to make sure I never cancel my "Gold`s Gym" membership to be able to do that...huh?" "Yep," his little sister said. "Guess who I be seeing quite often," Finn asked? Everybody simultaneously said, ''Who!?" "Her man, that smooth young cat. What`s his name? Liam Smith right? That`s Mason`s little brother, you remember Mason right Papa," said Finn? Oh yeah fine young gentleman. He`s been here a few times. A very respectable young fella. So he has a little brother huh,'' said their father.

       "Yes Papa he has a little brother and he`s even more nicer than his big brother,'' said Violet. "He better not be too nice to have your butt distracted from school. You ain`t too old to get punished now," said their mother. ''Oh don`t worry Mama, Liam and I done had a good ole build,'' Finn said. ''You didn`t hurt him did you Finn,'' Violet said with a sense of concern for she is very knowledgeable of Finn`s violent tendencies. ''Naw girl I ain`t touch Sun. I just dropped some family gems on the kid. I let him know how The Bailey Family which includes you, is a family of ma`at. A family of truth, loyalty and honesty.

     And I left it like that. I mean Liam is no stranger to the dealings and surface knowledge of our fam thru his work he does in his help with his big brother. I mean he at least understands for being untruthful and misleading I could potentially have a family mercked and I`m not discriminatory about the s**t either, so we see eye to eye on that,'' Finn said pointing his first two fingers up to his eyes. "Griffinn you didn`t do that did you,'' Violet asked? Finn balled his fist into his palm then laughed hilariously.

      "You better not hurt my baby,'' she said. He said, "well if you`re treating him right he better treat you right or I`m coming for him...and Mason. I just want you to be happy Vee. Look at Mommy and Daddy they`ve  been married for 34 years, you see how they love each other. I just want the best for you Vee.'' "You`re so overprotective of me ever since we were kids. Trust me I`ll be okay,'' said Violet. "Sit down Sun tell us how have you been doin`? Come here and give your Ma and Pops some, sugar boy you`ll always be my big little man,'' said Finn`s mother, as he walks to his mother and father giving them both hugs and kisses as he was taught as a youth, in the BSMF`s secret familial greeting of appreciation of the elders, which include his parents as well. "Aww Ma you been like this forever.

       I`m doing fine ma. I`m out here manifesting Ma`at like you taught me,'' he responded while his Dad chimed in and asked, "how is business going son? "Well that`s one of the reasons I had to stopped by but I`ll discuss it with you later but both business and I are doing just great. What`s that smell Ma? Something smells delicious," Finn asked!? His mother said, "Oh shoot I forgot my roast in the oven. I`ll be right back" and ran into the kitchen. "So Violet when do you start classes,'' he asked? "Two weeks why," she asked Finn? He said, 'Oh I`m just asking. Are you and Liam in the same classes?" Violet snapped at Finn, "No he isn`t!'' He said, "Okay, okay, okay I`ll lay off of him.

      Liam`s a good dude." His little sister said, "Well stop messing with him then Finn!" Mother re-emerges from the kitchen and said, "No, no, no, no...Finn can you look into that for mama?" "Mamaaaa,'' said Violet to  their mother. "Sure ma I gotchu I`ll look into it," said Finn. ''Come on guys, it`s time to eat dinner is ready. Yall are hard on me,'' Violet said. After the Bailey family, the foundation of the BSMF eats a scrumptuous meal Finn asked his dad could they talk in the library. Caleb Bailey told his Sun to lead the way. Finn holds the door open for his pops and they enter The Bailey Library dedicated in honor of the lives of three vestiges, (in the studies of Afrikan and Black History in general of the Black Community doctors John Henrick Clarke, Yosef Alfredo Antonio Jochannan and Ivan Van Sertima), The Dr. Ben-Henrick-Sertima Library and took the elevator to the basement and entered their soundproof conference room both taking a seat. 

    "How are you doing Sun is their something so important that we needed to retreat to this room away from everyone else? Talk to  me young god,'' said Father Bailey. Unfortunately as we consulted with our accountants they noticed that pretty large amounts of monetary expenses were being extracted thru possible misappropriation of funds, maybe from overspending or underspending...Right? It happens...human error...human correction but as we corrected and remedied our spending methods whether by cuts or better spending we kept running into the same problem. A $100,000 monthly loss? We can`t have that s**t Papa so I had Marcus and Taylor look into the financial records and spendings of all of our businesses. 

      From that research we`ve discovered two of our establishments were consistently performing below their predicted earning projections and Pops you know how I am `bout this yaper so I had Tay-God Universal dig a little deeper just to see how far the rabbit hole went because at this point someone`s stealing money from us, it wasn`t on our end,'' said Finn with sweat coming off of his head. He pulls his handerkerchief from out his pocket and wipes his head. His father Caleb  asked, ''So what did you find out Sun.?'' In a loud voice Finn said, ''Those two businesses were The Diamond Star Club and Lounge and Lips Club! Do you know who managed those Da''? ''Who Grifinn who...who''?! ''Your old friends Jimmy "Boy" Salvodini and Paulinho Vizzio! Dad they`ve been stealing from our family for over 25 years...Continuously! Over that 25 year span their families have been on numerous shopping trips, vacations, spent our money on cars and more.

       Papa I mean these motherfuckers were so comfortable stealing, sheed', your boy Paul had a whole family with a child on the way, but don`t worry Papa we`ve retrieved all funds''. "Good Sun, that`s fantastic. I knew I could count on you to take over the family business. By the way you said they ''had'' a whole family. Why did you say that in the past tense Finn,'' his father asked? ''Oh, I said ''had'' because Jim, Paul and their entire family and Paul`s  other family are now sleeping with the f*****g fishes to say the least. Da I told you when I was 18 those two always rendered me suspicious and it`s something how years later they would confirm those suspicions,'' Finn said.

      "Yes my Sun, yes you did and I`m sorry I should have listened. You are well deserving as a leader of our business, my boy,'' said Caleb Bailey. "Well lets get back upstairs before Violet and Mama call for us. I just thought you needed to know and I didn`t want to discuss something of this nature in front of the ladies like you taught me...Right,'' said Finn? Caleb Bailey said,'' Sun you are absolutely right and I Love You for that". "I Love You too father,'' said Finn. Father and Sun embrace in a loving hug and went back upstairs. Violet and Mama Bailey are sitting in the den waiting for Finn and Caleb Bailey to return. 

      As they returned going into the den the ladies stood up and hugged Finn. "Thank you Mama for the the food. It was delicious and I`m filled up. I gotta lay down. Your food still gives me the itis. I`ve gotta go,'' he said then he gave his family all a big hug, grabbed his coat and left his parents family house. Hunter his driver was patiently waiting for Finn at the driver seat eveready to transport. Hunter gets out of the car to open the door for Finn to get in and have a seat. 

     He shuts the door for Finn then gets back in the drivers` seat and they drive off. "Hunter...home,'' Finn said. "Boss are you in for tonight,'' asked Hunter? ''Yes and you can take the rest of night off,'' was Finn`s response. "So you`re not going out,'' Hunter asked Finn again? "No I`m staying in tonight,'' Finn retorted defensively. Hunter with a surprised expression on his face asked Finn, ''Boss are you feeling o.k."? Through a slight chuckle he said, ''Yes, I`m fine. Can you  be here 8:00 tomorrow morning,'' asked Finn? "Sure boss and good night,'' Hunter said. "Good night Hunt and you be safe wherever your destination is from here,'' said Finn as he got out of the car. He walks to the house, opened the door and went inside. He went straight to his bedroom and took a shower. When he walked into the bedroom from the bathroom  his phone began to ring. He picked it up and it`s Blue on the other end.

F: Hello beautiful how are you? 

B: Hello Griffinn I`m fine, did I call at a bad time ?

F:  No, I just got home and got out the shower, what`s up ?

B: Nothing I just wanted to know did you like the muffins and I wanted to thank you again for lunch.It was so sweet of you.

F: Don`t mention it l I had fun spending time with you goddess, Oh yeah we enjoyed the muffins.(10 seconds of uncomfortable silence) Ummmm....you there?

B: Yes I`m here I had fun too. Well I have to go see tomorrow, good night Griffinn. 

F: Good night beautiful sweet dreams, see you tomorrow.

 After Finn got off the phone with Blue he laid down and began to think of ways he could ask her on a date. Finn thought inwardly, ''Umm...I don`t know...there`s many ways to go about this. I mean the straight forward approach always seems to work for me but Blue is intriguingly different. When in the company of other women I genuinely don`t resonate to their energy or shall I say they don`t sincerely resonate to my energy.  Don`t get me wrong I`m mos def attractive and I practically own this city, my family does, so women swarm and choose. A lot of women don`t really want me for who I am as a person inside these women want to or they think they want to live this mob life, which makes these bitches be insincere, disingenuous and down right phony as f**k which actually is a turn off for me. 

    I can see right thru these shorties but to be in my cipher they`ll do anything and give me anything I want so I exploit them. I come around and women get all giddy, goo-goo, gaa, gaa acting other than themselves and Blue isn`t like that at all so I`ve gotta impress this young lady. I never looked at these other women as being too smart beyond the scope of a general education and this lady is advancing her education , an assistant manager. I gotta come correct. I know what I`ll do, I`ll stop by the flower shop in the morning, get a dozen of white roses with one red rose in the middle put a card in it that`ll say, 'Will You Do Me The Pleasure Of Going On A Date With Me Tonight'. 

      Yeah that`s how I`ll do it. Finn thought more about it until sleep overcame him. The alarm clock goes off it`s about 8:00 in the morning. Finn got out of bed, went to the bathroom to s**t, shower and shave. After he was done in the bathroom Finn went into his walk-in  closet selecting a pair of dark blue jeans, blue Abdju Wear bottom up shirt with a black blazer and some black Tracy McGrady Nikes. Finn put his gat in his holster, grabbed his iPhone XII, gold Ankh necklace handcrafted and sculpted by the highly regarded Honorable Keeper of The Shrine of Ptah, Baba Hru Ankh Ra Semahj se Ptah and custom-made Presidential Rolex with the sundial within the  face. 

     By this time it`s almost 8:35 so Finn went downstairs to see some of his men in the living room awaiting the others to arrive. When everyone assembled in Finn`s living room he gave the order for everyone to head to the warehouse and him and Hunter will meet them later. After everyone left and Finn checked the house for "bugs",wires or other inconspicuous unfamiliaralities he left the house. Hunter saw The Boss coming out of the house and began to start  the ignition and hastily got out of the car to open the door for Finn. "Good Morning Boss, beautiful day isn`t it," Hunter said? ''Good Morning Hunt, true indeed god and it can only get better, ya dig," Finn said, as Hunter pulled off.

      "Where to Boss,'' Hunter asked? ''Bunny Flower Shop, it should be open and after that to Bob`s Diner. While I go in this flower shop I want you to call Bob`s Diner. Place 2 orders of number #5 with 2 medium orange juices, a little ice. Tell them you want it nice and hot. We`ll be there in 20 minutes,'' Finn instructed Hunter. ''Well do Boss,'' he said. Finn got out of the car and entered into the flower shop. Bunny(the owner) walked out from the back to greet the customer who just happened to be Finn. Grand Rising Bunny,'' said Finn. "Good Morning Mr. Bailey, how can I help you,'' Bunny asked? He answered, ''I`ll  like a dozen of white roses with 1 red rose in the middle and a card in it''. ''Well when do you need them Mr.Bailey,'' she asked? "Baby I need it now if you can pull it off please.

      I know this is so sudden but...but...but,'' she said. ''Don`t worry Mr. Bailey for you I`ll get this together right now. Give me about 15 minutes and it`ll be all ready for you,'' Bunny assured him. "Thanks Bunny, you`re a sweetheart. I appreciate it . I owe you,'' said Finn as he looked at his watch. "Cool it`s  9:20,  that`s a good time,'' he thinks to himself. At 9:35 Bunny came out with a bouquet of flowers. "Wow they`re so beautiful. You did your thing thing mama. I hope she likes them,'' said Finn. Bunny asked, "Mr. Bailey what do you want the card to say"? "I want the card to say:

Will you do me the pleasure of going on a date with me tonight :)

   By the time he finished in Bunny`s Flower Shop it was time to pick up the food from Bob`s Diner. ''Hunt, go in, get the food and then I`ll be ready to go to the coffee shop,'' Finn said. When they arrived at Dan`s shop  their was only two customers in line. As it became Finn`s turn he walked up to see Liam waiting on him. When they notice each other they greeted one another Peace and Grand Rising but Liam slipped up and said, ''Grand Rising Boss...I mean sir and Finn said, ''Shhh," putting his pointing finger to his lips. "Liam can you tell Blue to come here please,'' asked Finn. "Sure sir,'' he said as he went to the back to deliver the message re-emerging about 5 minutes with Blue. 

      Blue stood next to Liam with a grill cheese on her face. ''Goodmorning Ms. Walker your looking professionally alluring today if I may say so myself,'' said Finn. "Well Thank you and Goodmorning Mr. Bailey. How are you,'' said Blue. ''Great Blue and only could get better, nah mean,'' said Finn. She said, ''That`s good, can you come with me,''? Finn stepped around the counter and followed Blue to the back where the office was.They walked into the office and Finn would now bring the bouquet of roses from behind his back to the front as he held the bag of food and drink in his other hand. 

     ''I brought these for you. I thought you would like them,'' he said. "Oh Griffinn thank you, you are sooo sweet,'' Blue said excitedly. She took the flowers, smelled them and she saw that their was a card in the flower. She places the flowers on the desk and Finn places the food on the desk next to the flowers and he looks at Blue to see her reaction. Blue read the card, smiling with glee and looked at Finn with admiration as it read: "WILL YOU DO ME THE PLEASURE OF GOING OUT ON A DATE WITH ME TONIGHT''.

      Finn and Blue looked into each others glaring eyes. Finn asked, "Sooooo will you''? Blue put the roses down and jumped in Finn`s arms. ''Whoaaa, I`m taking that as a yes,'' asked Finn? "Yes Yes Griffinn I`d  love to go on a date with you,'' she said. Finn put Blue down and kissed her lips. Upon first contact Blue didn`t kiss him back but her desires overcame her forcing her to succumb to her true emotions and gives in to Finn`s soft kisses until she needed air. As they hugged each other Finn looked down at Blue to see her blushing hiding her face within his chest. "Beautiful you don`t have to hide your face from me. There`s no need to be ashamed. I like you a lot Blue.

      I want to get to know better and that`s why I`m asking you. It would be an honor and pleasure,'' he said to Blue. "Finn I like you too and would like to get to know you better. So Mr., what time should I be ready for you to pick me up because I don`t get off until 8 o` clock tonight,'' she said? "Well, how long does it take you to get home, Love,'' asked Finn? ''Umm...about 45 minutes,'' responds Blue. "Okay my driver will be there 9:30 to pick you up,'' he said. "Griffinn give me your phone,'' she instructs Finn. Blue typed her cell and house numbers in Finn`s phone. "Call me anytime. Let`s eat I know the food is getting cold plus I`m hungry,'' Blue said. Finn kissed Blue again and they sat down and began to eat.

        Finn phone rings but by this time they had finished there food. He wipes his mouth and answers his phone. "Well Blue that was my administrative assistant notifying me of an engagement I`m to attend later and we have to prepare for that so unfortunately I have to depart your presence. Baby I have to go but I`ll most definitely be calling you later when my driver will be on his way. His name will be Fox. So you make sure you ask him what`s his name before getting in the car. You know how wicked these 85ers and devils be out here.Text your address to my administrative assistant Ms. Green and she`ll take it from there, okay,'' he said to Blue. ''Alright Grifinn I`ll be waiting for your call baby,'' she said.

       Finn and Blue by now had stood up embracing each other tightly. Finn pulled Blue into his chest kissing her passionately until she needed air again. "Grifinn get out of here before your late. Don`t worry about this. I`ll clean it up,'' Blue said. "Are you sure Blue. I can help you before I leave,'' he insisted. ''I got it but thank you baby,'' she said. Finn said, "Well I`ll call you later. Peace goddess Black woman.
