The sun hadn’t quite set, but even so the lights at the front of the house were on, illuminating the drive.
Pierce had the Mercedes at the front door, and he helped me get Granddad settled in the backseat. I put the oxygen tank and its harness on the seat beside him.
Just as I shut the door, another car pulled up, and Geoff and Mindy got out.
“Kipp! Where are you going?”
