As the world came back into focus, I took a step back. What had I just done? I dropped the sword from my hands in shock. Had I really just done all of that? I looked around as the last of the soldiers were fighting the king's guards. The king! My head whipped around to his limp form and I rushed over.
"Your majesty!" I called as I crouched over him. His clothes were completely soaked in his own blood. His eyes were slightly open but unseeing. Those bright blue eyes were clouded over.
