I felt shock fill me at Cass's simple statement. Did she really just say that? I pulled away from her neck slowly and met her gaze. The tears in her eyes shocked me even more. I cupped her cheeks in my hands.
"What did you say?" I asked as I wiped her tears away with my thumbs. She narrowed her eyes softly and sighed briefly.
"I'll marry you." I felt utterly speechless. She had said exactly what I thought she did. I couldn't believe it. There were so many things I wanted to ask her. Why now? What changed?
