When I woke up, I expected to be alone. What I didn't expect was to have my children cuddled up against me. I looked to the side to see Alex sleeping on his side of the bed as well. His sleeping face was peaceful as usual. I shifted to stand. Being careful not to wake anybody. I stood up from the bed and stretched my arms over my head.
"Do you always sneak out of bed?" I turned to see Alex smiling softly at me. I shushed him but he waved me off. "The kids could sleep through anything." I narrowed my eyes at him. How did he know that? "They've been here a few days."
