It was already dark when Eduardo Bravo’s driver and bodyguard guided the large SUV into the warehouse. He remained in the vehicle as Eduardo walked over to the three men standing next to the cage.
He ignored the two armed men and spoke to the leader, Akmal Kassab. “What do you have for me today?” he asked.
Akmal pointed at the cage. “Only six today, I’m sorry to say.”
“Better than nothing I suppose.” Eduardo walked over to the cage and peered inside. His eyes were drawn immediately to Isabela, who crouched terrified and sobbing in the corner. He turned to Akmal. “She’ll do nicely for next week.”
Akmal bowed slightly. “Your wish is my command. We’ll get her fed and cleaned up and she’ll be waiting for you on Wednesday.”
