Once the snipers were in position, I spoke softly into my mike and gave the order to disable the generator. Night had fallen and thanks to the thick cloud cover the darkness was almost absolute, save for the faint glow emanating from the mill. Within a minute or two the hum of the generator ceased and the mill was plunged into darkness. It didn’t take long before the door slid open and a man emerged. He lit his way with a flashlight as he hurried towards the generator. He was bent over fiddling with a switch when suddenly a large shape loomed behind him. I watched through my night-vision optics as Sergeant Wright locked a powerful forearm around the unsuspecting man’s neck.
