I can't even look at Collin. Knowing that he paid money, probably a lot of money, to my parents changes everything. The man I thought I was in love with, I am sure he's just a fraud, and never really existed. Collin Crestmoon is a heartless monster, and I was foolish enough to forget that.  I turn my back on Nora and Collin. I don't want to talk to either of them now. I take quick steps looking for a place to get some fresh air. I go to one of the balconies in the house, which is covered by a white curtain that moves with the wind. I steal two glasses of champagne and step onto the balcony. "It's obvious you're here." I say, finding Jack sitting in one of the armchairs there, with a cigarette on his lips and a glass of whiskey in his hand. "Looks like I don't get any time alone today."
