I wake up with rays of sunlight against my eyes. I turn to the other side of the bed, and cover my eyes with the covers. I remember how I'm lying in Collin's bed, but I seem to be alone. Slowly, I bring my hand to the other side of the bed, it is still warm, but without his body. I sigh loudly and sit up in bed. Collin is standing in front of the mirror trying to make his tie. He doesn't seem to notice me. "Why are you dressed like that?" I ask, still sleepy. I look at the clock on the bedside table, it is only nine in the morning. Too early for anything. "It's our wedding and no one told me?" "Actually, I am going to your real father's funeral" he declares, looking at me through the mirror, emphasizing the word real. "And it didn't cross your mind, asking me if I wanted to go too?" H
