Tarkik
I remember when I first laid eyes upon Deianira. She was half buried under snow. Her feet were bare and she was past the point of a shiver. As my father and I grew closer to her and I could see the odd color of her hair and her drooping eyes I knew then even as a child she was going to mean so much to me. As we finally reach her she tries to stand up and acknowledge these other beings coming upon her. "Are you lost child" father says.
"Yes, I dont know where I am" she says and even though being alone at maybe five without her family, anyone, hell even shoes she stands tall and doesnt seem scared at all.
"Do you know where your family are, are the close by?" Father says.
"I.. I dont know" she says confusion all over her face.
"Come" Father says.
She hesitates then slips her chilled hand in my fathers.
She looks at me with a curious eye, up and down from head to toe then follows my father.
We take her back to our village where of course we get her shoes and a warm change of clothes. Whoever left her or lost her had her dressed in inappropriate attire for mountain weather. We also get her something to eat , drink , and a blanket to warm her. We are at our home. My father speaks in hushed tones with my mother in the corner and I'm just staring at her trying to figure her out. She doesnt look like the others I've seen all around these lands with my father on trips to different villages. She has one light red eye the other a dark almost black brown. Her hair is the most brilliant shade of blue I've ever seen.
"What?!" she says.
"Oh um sorry hi um I'm Tarkik."
"Tarkik" she parrots.
"Yes and what is your name." Smooth Tarkik real smooth.
"Dieanira" Dieanira even her name is peculiar.
"What were you doing all by yourself like that" I say.
She looks at me with a scrunched up face "I cant remember." Thats the first time I see real fear on her face.
"Hey it will be okay" I say , "My father will help you I will help you." Then she smiles. I thought I liked her before but now with a smile like that so bright and genuine I know I will never be able to live another day without a smile like that till the last of my days.
"Thanks Tar she says." From that day forward we are with each other every day. Playing , growing together. One of the village family's adopt her. I remember their daughter KoKo, she was a little older then me but I still remember her being sick. How my mother and father tried to ade them with her sickness. Nothing worked, Alaise and Nanook had been lost for so many years until Deinaria. She was light in the darkness. A reason to live for them. I dont know what we would all do without her. Then she met Apaay. Over the years our families have became close spending holidays and birthdays together. We are getting older in just over a month De and I will both turn 18. I just know we are destined to be its written in the stars. Every time she gives me those smiles, every time I look in her special eyes. I will be the luckiest Draco in our lands hell in this realm. Nothing will keep us apart. Or so I thought..
