CHAPTER 2

Alex's mind wandered back to the countless summers he'd spent with Emma and Jack. They'd grown up together, exploring the small town of Ravenswood, sharing secrets, and making memories that would last a lifetime. As they grew older, their friendships deepened, but Alex couldn't shake the feeling that something was changing.

Emma's eyes seemed to hold a secret, one that Alex couldn't quite decipher. As they walked along the beach, she mentioned a family tragedy that had occurred years ago. Alex listened intently, sensing that there was more to the story than Emma was letting on.
