" Mum, did you see my suit ?” Coda asked running around.
Geez.
"Coda, you are twenty years old and you still haven’t matured at all.”
I grabbed a box and gave it to him.
" What would I do without you.” He said kissing my cheeks.
" Mum! Alice is being mean.”
I sighed.
" Layla dear, give your sister her straightener back.”
I heard Alice laugh.
Jace came into the room, ready in his suit, looking as handsome as ever.
" We are getting old.” He said kissing me.
" Ew.” the girls said as passed in front of us.
I chuckled.
" People we have half an hour until the concert. Is everyone ready?” I said.
Jace stood in front of me.
I arranged his bowtie.
Coda came near his father. I arranged his tie.
The girls came near their brother, their hair was done and the dresses were in place for once.
I sighed.
They all looked so beautiful.
" You are late as usual.” Ace came into the living room.
" Coda!” Little Lilly went running to her big brother.
I sighed. ” We have a weird family.”
Everyone chuckled.
When everyone was involved into talk Coda came near me.
"Mum, do you think June is coming today?” He said blushing.
I chuckled and arranged his jacket.
June was Lana’s daughter.
" Don’t laugh.”
I smiled. ” My little boy is all grown up.”
He sighed and kissed my forehead.
" Don’t get all sentimental.”
I pinched his face.
" You are twenty years old and already a famous pianist. I can get a little sentimental.”
He chuckled and hugged me.
" Thank you for everything mum.”
"No, Thank you.”
He smiled and went near everyone.
Jace came near me and put his hand on my shoulder.
" How are you feeling ?”
I sighed and kissed his hand.
" I think finally my work is done.”
He chuckled and kissed my cheek.
" I remember a certain woman who told me that a mother’s work is never done.”
I smiled and he leaned in to kiss me.
" But really, our son has a crush on Lana’s daughter and our girls have a crush on Davina’s twin boys. We truly are one weird family.”
I laughed out loud.
" I think we all know that love sometimes is unpredictable.”
He smiled and nodded.
" I love you, Iris.”
" And I love you.”
