Luca
My men properly bundled the dead body and removed it. Then we headed back to the car. Our work here was finished, and I had cleared out the Masita's first son. My quest for vengeance began this year, when I was appointed Don, and I vowed to eliminate all of them.
Despite the fact that I had crossed this off my list, my mind was racing because of her.
She never got out of the hotel. She must have gone to see her fiance, but that doesn't make me any less angry because I would not have known about her marriage or dementia if she hadn't come running to me.
What if she doesn't recognize me?
Her plan had always been to abandon me and run off with that man, but I saw fear in her eyes, and she didn't appear to be suffering from dementia. She might have needed my assistance.
I despise the thought in her being in danger in the hands of that man; he had no right to her. If she was going to be hurt or scared by anyone, it had to be me and no one else. Had I forgotten how difficult it was for me to let go of my possessions?
My mind had been racing for far too long, and when I couldn't take it any longer, I spoke up.
"Stop!" I yelled at the driver, Ruiz.
"Don Luca, is there something wrong?" I raised my brows in response to his question.
"Talk to the boys and tell them they have a wedding to attend at the....chapel," I told him...

Aubrey:
Barry didn't hit me anymore after that, but he made it clear that I was going to die tonight. I was sitting on the bed, crying, while he was taking a bath and getting ready for the wedding.
When he came out, he dressed in a tuxedo and said to me.
"Kylie would come over and dress you and do your makeup. "If you show up on time for your wedding, I might spare your life," he said and then walked out, banging the door behind him.
I sighed solemnly and walked to the door, pulling it open to find a man stationed there.
"Is there a problem, miss?" I shook my head as the huge man in black asked, then walked back in and shut the door.
I was trapped and needed to get out, despite knowing no one in Italy and not having enough money to pay for a flight.
I sank to the floor again after crying out my eyes at myself in the mirror. What was the point of all of this if I was going to die today?
Someone briefly knocked on the door, so I went to open it to see who it could be.
"If you're here for the make-up, don't bother because I'd be..."
The tape slapped across my mouth muffled the rest of my words, and before I could think, I felt a sack over my head and huge hands lifting me off the ground...
***
My face was hot beneath the sack and my muscles were tired from struggling, but I didn't stop until they put me in a car. I knew it was a car because I felt the leather while desperately looking for a way out. I noticed the car was moving when I reached my hands out and touched what felt like a shoulder, which I began hitting, and then someone grabbed my hands, causing me to struggle once more. My mind was racing with a million ideas. Was Barry planning to murder me before the wedding? Is this my last breath?
"If you don't stop fighting, I'll have to drug you!" I froze as the person growled because the voice was so familiar to me. A new wave of terror swept over me. It was Luca's voice; I was in a car with Luca, the man with the gun I saw half an hour before. What was he after with me?
"Will you scream?" Luca inquired, and I shook my head.
"All right, I'll untie you now," he said as he removed the sack. As he pulled the tape off, he still held my hand, and I moaned in frustration. He wouldn't have a gentle bone in his body, of course.
He was staring at me, his face calm and collected as if we were at a tea party, whereas I was on the verge of exploding.
"Can you please let go of my hands?" I inquired, keeping my cool.
As soon as his hands slipped away, I reached for the door, the window, and every other part of the car. It didn't matter if it was a moving vehicle with tinted windows.
"Help! Please help, I've been kidnapped!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, banging my hands on the windows and partition glass like a lunatic.
"You said you wouldn't scream, Aubrey!" Luca growled as he drew me back and tried to force the tape back on, but I fought him off with all my strength.
"Let go of me, you asshole!" I screamed, struggling to get my hands free from his firm grip. All those months of battling Barry have finally paid off. I never thought I'd say this, but thank you, Barry.
"Not.until.you.obey.me!" Luca pushed me until I was lying with my back to the seat, straddling my thighs.I was curious if the driver could hear the grunts and groans from where he was sitting.
I finally got his hands close enough for a bite and he let me go.
"s**t!" He yelled. I slapped him across the face, which I never did to Barry. Luca roughly grabbed both of my hands in one of his, and I immediately closed my eyes tightly and turned my face away, knowing he was about to hit me. All I could hear was my heart racing in my chest as everything fell silent.
"Why do you look like I'm going to hit you?" His voice broke the silence, and I slowly turned to face him.
Creased brows and rage-filled eyes stared down at me as if he was planning his next move. Should I strangle her or beat her?
Because you intend to?" I made a squeak. All I could think about was Barry's hands on me and not in a romantic way.
His brows furrowed, and the rage in his eyes vanished, to be replaced by mild confusion.
"I understand why you think that, Aubrey, but I don't hit women," he said, his voice low and husky. Sure, and he deserved recognition for being a normal human being.
"Do you understand? That also means you're not allowed to hit me again from now on?" He asked, sternly, as if he were warning a small child.
"Let go and get off me," I yelled, and he frowned.
"Do.you.understand, Aubrey?" Make use of your words." He continued as if he hadn't heard me.
"Yes, I won't hit you," I said, and as soon as he stepped away from me, his phone began to ring. I dashed up to the window and hugged myself.
"Excellent," he said before hanging up. Luca turned to face me.
"Do you feel cold?" I'll decline the-"
"What exactly do you want from me?" I inquired. He smirked and raised his brow.
"You," he simply said, and I smirked. Cute.
"You already know you can't have me," I said. I wasn't sure who was more dangerous at this point, but I knew Barry wouldn't want to hear that Luca wanted me.
Luca's brow furrowed in perplexity as his gaze darted to my left hand resting on my right arm.
"Your hand does not match the words coming out of your mouth," he said, pointing to my hand.
The engagement ring! I was still wearing it. I couldn't figure it out.
"Is this really yours?" I inquired, but received no response. "Are we married?!" I screamed. It was a wild guess, but it wasn't out of the question.
As the car came to a stop, Luca chuckled and looked at his wristwatch before looking at me.
"We are married. This is one of the ramifications of sleeping with a stranger, and I warned you.".....
