Lost

I woke up groggy and feeling exhausted. I'm not ready for school. Just as I was going back to sleep, my phone rang. I wonder who that could be. I lazily answered my phone, placing it by my ear. "Hello..." "Hey Mia," uttered Luke. "Hey... what's up?" "I'm coming back to school today, and I wanted to tell you first." "Really?! Finally! I'll meet you there then. I'll get up now," I squealed. "Wait, you're not awake yet? Mia, do you know what time it is?" "You woke me up. Why? Let me check the time." I rubbed my eyes and took a clear look at the time on my phone. "s**t! I'm late! I'll see you at school! Bye!" I quickly ran to get ready. I finally got to school. Although I'm running late, that shouldn't be too big of a problem, considering I'm only an hour late. I slowly crept into class, trying not to attract attention, but the door decided otherwise. It creaked loudly just as I was about to fully close the door. I slowly turned around to see everyone looking at me, including the teacher. Embarrassment is an understatement. I cracked an awkward smile and walked toward my desk. I waited for class to resume again before letting out a deep breath. Let's get this day over with. The classes flew by. I was slowly walking down the hall and was just about to enter the lunch room when I heard a muffled scream. Where did that come from? I turned around and slowly walked back, hoping it was just my ears playing tricks on me. The hallways are empty. I turned to look in the other direction, but there was nothing. 'Come on Mia, your mind is playing tricks on you,' I thought. Just as I was about to walk towards the lunch room again, I heard the muffled scream again. It's coming from that direction! But... That direction is the gym locker room. Who'd be there during lunch? My heart beat accelerated as I'm slowly moving towards the door. My hands grabbed the door handle, and I slowly turned the knob.. counting in my head, one... two... three! A pair of hands yanked me back. I screamed, but my mouth was covered, "shhh.... you don't want anyone to know you're here right now, trust me." I slowly turned to face him... Corey. He slowly shook his head and pointed at the door. There were so many questions running through my mind at this very moment, but before I could even begin to ask, he stepped in front of me and slowly opened the door. He grabbed my hand and pulled me close behind him. We crept through the locker room and halted when we heard the muffled scream clearer. It was coming from behind that blue door! I shook Corey's hand, signaling him to keep going, but he didn't move.. it was as if he was lost in his thoughts. I tried to let go of his hand and see what was going on behind that door, but he wouldn't let go of my hand. I turned around to see the look on his face. What's going on?
