“Um, I think it’s time for me to take my leave.” I walked toward the counter to grab my phone, then headed to his room to collect my purse—or anything that might belong to me. A few minutes later, I stepped out of the room, instantly feeling his eyes on me. I didn’t want to look at him. God, I’m so embarrassed. Liam cleared his throat. “It was nice meeting you, Alice.” I glanced at him. “Yeah, you too.” He looked between me and Brian. My eyes slowly followed his gaze to where Brian was sitting.
