I and the girls — Leah and Jane decided to do lunch together at Top’s Place, one of the most popular spots around campus. Not just because the food’s good, but because most of their staff are students, and this is where the popular crowd hangs out.
After my morning lectures, I headed straight to the restaurant. I spotted Zillion and Jane first, before seeing Liam and Leah.
Jane had her head resting on Zillion’s shoulder. They were whispering and laughing about something. Meanwhile, Leah and Liam were glued to their phones.
“Hi, guys,” I said enthusiastically, sliding into the seat next to Leah.
“Thank God you’re here,” Leah said, dropping her phone on the table with a sigh.
Liam looked up, gave me a polite smile, and went right back to typing on his phone.
