VIDA’S POV It seems the Firsts decided to take advantage of my sleepy self to make their appearance in my head. My mind was feeling rather crowded all of a sudden. “Vida, we are so pleased to make your acquaintance finally,” a voice said from the darkness; it was hard to tell if they were male or female. Being the Firsts, perhaps they were both? “Um, hello, do we have to stay in this dark place?” I asked. I really hated being in the darkness; it was somehow off-putting. “Of course not; let us create a nicer space to talk,” a slightly different voice said.
