VIDA’S POV
In my panic, I was unable to create a portal or even teleport back to our home. Fortunately, the others realised the urgency and several portals were created back to our home.
I jumped through Enya’s portal and found myself standing before a huge dome filled with fire and smoke where our home used to stand.
A portal opened beside us, and the others arrived. Tatsuya immediately began screaming and pounding against the barrier.
“Rhian, Jadu, can you remove the barrier?” I shouted at the two Witches who were staring at Tatsuya. “Elida is still in there,” I continued.
They both ran towards the barrier, but nothing happened. “What’s wrong?” I asked. I felt calm despite the circumstances, or perhaps I was just numb.
