That Dragon Elder was frustrating, refusing to give me any information to help find my Fated. However, I realised it would be far quicker for me to find her via her scent rather than from some random scraps of information.
I needed to find her as quickly as possible as I knew that the Phoenix Queen would not be too far behind me; her sense of smell was not quite as refined as mine, so at the moment, I had the edge on her.
It took my dragon a little time to locate the human’s fresh, sweet scent among the myriad of other scents that wafted in the air in and around the capital, but eventually, we were able to pick out the individual aroma that supposedly belonged to that of our Fated.
