A slight whimper escaped from your throat as the sharp pain on your head decided to wake you up from your slumber. The bright lighting of the room you were in didn’t helped at all as you slowly opened your eyes trying to adapt to the brightness.
As your eyes adjusted, you started to see your surroundings clearly.
Looking around, you knew you were inside of what seemed like a guest room of a mansion.
The light that was blinding you earlier was actually due to well lit ceiling of the room, the curtains covering the picture window positioned at the foot of the king sized bed you were laying on stayed still as if not wanting you to see the outside world behind it.
The room was painted with a fleshy hue matching the light pigmented carpet covering the whole floor area of the room. The walls had these beautiful paintings of green pastures and vast blue seas as an attempt to lessen the empty feeling inside the room.
The white painted night stand beside the bed finally came into your view, and you pushed your body towards it to look closely at the digital clock atop.
6:13pm
Your eyes got wide.
You slept for almost a day!
You immediately stood up from the bed, staggering your way towards the double door to the right, you extended your hand for the knob but before you could even touch it, you saw it turned and the door in front of you opened revealing a woman on her mid twenties, her hair was neatly tied up into a bun and the lace outlining her dress flew along with her movement as she slightly bowed to you.
“Good evening miss,” the maid said, her voice was thin and feminine, “boss is waiting for you at the dining area."
Well you had no choice but to follow the girl to the dining area she was referring to.
As soon as you entered the hall the person seated at the end of the long table immediately caught your attention, his back was on you but you could tell that the man was around on his late forties and based on his perfectly tailored dark blue suit, something's telling you that he's a reputable person.
The maid extended her hand towards the seat on the right hand side of the mad gesturing you to sit over there.
Your feet suddenly felt like huge boulder stones underneath you while you took every step with difficulty. You made a fist, turning your knuckles white as if doing so would push aside the trembling of your flesh inside you.
You're afraid.
Terrified of the man.
Especially that you already knew who he was.
You fixed your eyes on him as you took the seat nearest to the guy.
You kept a straight face, not wanting him to see the fear in you.
“Miss Y/N,” he smiled, “I believe we’ve met already, I’m Jungkook’s uncle.”
“I know."
“Good, then I think you already know the reason why you’re here.”
“You made it so obvious with the letter.”
He chuckled a little and it sounded as if he’s mocking you which got your blood boiling.
You were trying your very best, gathering all your composure not to grab the glass of wine in front of you and splash it on that man’s face.
“What’s funny?” you asked, your voice trembled a little bit due to the intense irritation mounting inside you.
“Let’s have dinner first shall we?” he offered.
“I do not have time for your shits," you snapped.
He chuckled which turned into a scoffed later on, “Okay then,” he reached something under the table and then threw the thick white envelope in front of you.
“Take it,” he said, “you already made Jungkook signed the partnership of your company to ours, your job is done so you could go back and live the way you used to be.”
You reached for the envelope and look at the money inside.
That’s a lot of cash.
“I’ve work hard for this company together with Jungkook’s father, so I won’t let someone like you destroy it, Jungkook have to get married to an heiress,” he said, “if that Nica b***h don’t want to, I’ll find somebody else.”
You close your eyes shut, and took a deep breath.
You have to have a priori thinking.
[A/N: Yep, that's right, Euphoria reference HA!
