One evening, as they sat in their cozy living room, Max's phone rang. He answered, listened for a moment, and then hung up. "That was Alex," he said, his eyes locked onto Emily's. "He's found something."
Emily's heart skipped a beat. "What is it?"
Max's expression was grim. "It seems our mysterious player is connected to a local business. Alex didn't want to say more over the phone, but he wants us to meet him at the old warehouse on the outskirts of town tonight."
Emily's instincts were on high alert. "Do you trust Alex?" she asked.
Max nodded. "I do. But we need to be cautious. Let's gear up and meet him. We'll get to the bottom of this."
