The men rise then, struggling to their feet, as more and more wolves begin to arrive to surround us. They are a huge army, as intimidating as the prison before me, disguised as a palace, but in this instant, fear gives me strength, so I let them come without regard, knowing that none of them can touch us as long as I have this vibration, this feeling of strength that is born in my chest and that commands them.
“I promise I'll explain everything," I whisper to Owen as I watch the wolves soon surround us. "But for now, I need you to shift."
