In my entire life, I had never had to hold my breath in fear. I thought all would go well as long as I held my breath. I wanted to believe that the moment I exhale, all hell would break loose.
“Aren't you exaggerating?” Max voiced through the mind link between us. I would argue with my wolf beast but he added, “Breath for goodness sake! You are officiating me.”
