'You mean you saw a real ghost the day before yesterday in the graveyard?' repeated Darsh for the umpteenth time as he stopped the soccer ball with his left foot. 'Yes , come on that's like the tenth time you have asked me the same thing…..'replied Aarush with a frustrated face. 'Now pass me the ball' he continued
It was a Sunday and the two boys were playing a game of football in Darsh's backyard. The sun shone brightly and there was no visible trace of cloud and not a single soul would believe that it was raining heavily for the last two days. Aarush's grandpa had some work in the bank and Aarush had seized the oppurtunity to go and have a play with Darsh. He also could not keep the knowledge of seeing a ghost with himself anymore.
'Look Darsh I am saying what I saw in there. I am not making this up. So why aren't you believing me huh?' asked Aarush. 'Calm down bro, I believe what you saw was some optical illusion cast by the clouds and water. Nevertheless seeing a ghost in here…… it never happened before right?' replied Darsh
'Okay your wish believe it or not but I am saying the truth Darsh.' scoffed Aarush. 'Yeah yeah I understand but you see i am trying to find a reason behind all of this and nothing comes up ….. and to think that you went as silent as a log for two days thinking about this.' chuckled Darsh as he passed the ball back.

'Heyyyy woah woah woah…. ..why the hell do you two scare us like that? ' demanded Aanya and Ishyaa as Aarush and Darsh jumped up from behind them. The tiffin bell had just rung and all the students of the class had gone in the playground. Aanya and Ishyaa were the only two who stayed back completing homework.
'Hey cool girl why don't you go out and play huh?Believe me even you can run everyone can run its human nature… .ghosh' joked Darsh. Darsh and Aarush had crept soundlessly in the class to scare the two girls.
'I guess I am from a different species then.' replied Aanya sarcastically which was met by a round of chuckles from the four students.
'Hey Darsh, weren't you going to tell us something about Aarush?' asked Ishyaa. 'Oh yeah that… . Aarush had seen a ghost in that graveyard.' replied Darsh still laughing. This took Aarush by surprise as he stared daggers at Darsh. Yesterday both of them had come to a pact that no one else were to know of this. Darsh had joked no one would believe even though they came to knew.
'Whaattt like a real ghost? Seriously? What did it look like? Was it one of those Annabelle dolls? Come on send me the picture of your ghost as soon as you go home…. U have taken the picture haven't you? ' Aanya bombarded Aarush with questions. Unable to answer, Aarush was at a loss, 'uh huh ummm'. 'No he didn't, when have you ever seen him being calm and he saw supposedly saw a freaking ghost. ' retorted Ishyaa.
Aarush was still angry with Darsh who moved a few metres away from Aarush in case Aarush punched him as both of them stood facing the bright sunlight near the second row of the class. 'Calm down girls Aarush was dreaming… probably some illusions or maybe he had eaten more in the afternoon. ' chuckled Darsh. 'Naahh I already told you I was cycling down the path and that's when saw a shimmering figure of a young girl inside the graveyard and she disappeared as soon as I reached the gate. ' said Aarush earnestly.
'Okay whatever… .'spoke Ishyaa. 'Hey you two chimpmunks go someplace else where we gotta end our homeworks' scorned Aanya.' Yup happy studying then hope someone throws a beehive at you and teaches you how to run.. Aarush let's go to field.' said Darsh as the boys trudged off the class. 'Boysss!.....' said Ishyaa as she and Aanya watched them walking off while a faint smile flickered in both of their faces.

Aarush was completing his homework in his room sitting on his three poster bed secretly contemplating whether to start doing these homeworks in the class itself like the girls. He was still hurt as his friends didn't take him seriously in the matter of seeing the ghost and had himself started doubting the credibility of his story. His phone peeped twice indicating two new messages. He unlocked his phone and came upon texts forwarded by Darsh.
"Hey I found something"
"Looks like you weren't babbling about your ghost business"
