Killer Shower

Star POV

Turning in my sleep was restrictive for some reason, I figured one of the kids or all of them was in bed with me. Moving again I felt a sense of warmth and restraint. That's odd. I opened my eyes and came face to chest with bare skin. I blinked several times in confusion for a moment as to why I was snuggled up to a man. Then I caught the scent of fresh rain on grass on a spring morning. It was intoxicating, I wanted to bury my face in it. Zane. I slight smile across my face at the thought of being in this bed with him all night. Serenity was rubbing herself up against my skin trying to get to him. The visuals she was sending me were not of the garden variety. At this rate and her visuals I'm going to need a set of pearls. I felt him move and pulled me in closer into him, and his close proximity was driving my inside crazy. His present made me feel safe and relaxed like nothing could touch me while I was with him, but my bladder had other ideas and is now pressing me to move. I lightly move away from him but he pulls me in closer. 

"Zane?" I whisper trying to get him to release me. Nothing. Again I try to wriggle out from under him.

"Zane?"

"Little mate, why do you keep pulling away from me?"

"Not me, my bladder. If you don't release me now we're both going to be embarrassed. Because that part of my body doesn't care much for your bed sheets or embarrassing me"  he giggles and it was musical, but my bladder was serious she held no secrets.

Once I finished my business, I decided to brush my teeth, because Zane really doesn't need to know what my morning breath smells like. I shutter at the thought that he might already know. Following that train of thought I sniffed my armpits, they were fine but I'm not chancing it. I want a shower also.  After brushing my teeth I step into the shower and turn it on. He had one of those fancy ones with water coming out little holes from the wall. But how does it work? My curiosity peaked and I tried to turn them on too and a heavy stream of water shot out from all sides of the wall after pressing just one button, the scream that followed suit was nothing but a damsel in distress. Spin and frantically trying to turn off the attacking water that was now stinging my skin. I barely heard when Zane rushed in the bathroom yelling. Poor thing problem thought I was being attacked, well I was being attacked but not by anyone but a freaking water pipe. He stepped in and must have turned it off because the water instantly subsided. I was naked on the floor drenched from head to toe. He was also wet, and stared down at me with an amused look on his face.

"Not a word" I sputtered. As I cough up water. I never understood when water came at people. They open their mouths and take in so much water but here I am one of those people. I looked up at him and he put out his hands for me to take, so I did, that amused smirk was still on his face, I wanted to wipe it off his face. Chuckling he ask

"Are you alright?"

"No, your shower just tried to drown me" chuckling he moved my hair from my face. His eyes locked on mine.

"You have the most beautiful eyes" furrowing my brow, I say

"There different colours, that's not normal"

"Being normal is overrated. I say they are beautiful so they are" his hand skimmed over my shoulders, and that when it hit me I was naked I quickly tried to cover up my body with my hand and failed.  He stepped back, catching what I was trying to do.

"Little mate, don't. Don't ever hide yourself from me, there's nothing on your body that I would ever find hideous” easy for him to say he was made up of muscle that had muscle. His body needed to be spread across heath and fitness magazines. He lifted my hand from my breast  and stood back.

"PERFECT," he said. At that moment I felt more vulnerable than I have ever felt before. He must have seen it on my face because he stepped closer and kissed my forehead and then backed out of the shower. I watched him leave and a pang of something flared in my centre. I wanted him to stay, I wanted him close. Because pride and a sting ray of a tongue was all I had.

"Zane" I called and he turned back to look at me

"You need to brush your teeth" I smiled and gave him my back as I turned the normal shower head on and continued to cleanse my body. I could feel his eyes on me, but I ignored him. At this point these braids are going to need to be redone, and I doubt anyone around here will know how to do them. Sighing, not looking forward to drying these things.  Stepping out of the shower I realised he was still standing there waiting for me with a towel in hand. I took it and wrapped myself up as tight as I could. He just smiled, with a slight shake of his head.

"Little mate, that body of yours, is something to be cherished", he says and walks out. Heat flared in my cheeks at his declaration, planting a small smile on my face. Walking out the bathroom it occurred to me that all my clothes were dirty and I had nothing new to put on and neither did the kids. Being on the run, clothes were the last thing I thought about. I guess last night when he talked about getting my stuff from my place it wasn't such a bad idea, because I was running low on funds and would need to get a job to provide new clothes and stuff for the kids.

"Hmmm, Zane?". Turning to face him I caught him staring at my ass.

I have no clothes for me and the kids to change into. Can I borrow something from your closet and another one of your underwear?" The grin on his face says he wouldn't mind at all.

"No problem ,mate of mine, wear whatever you want" he said and walked back towards the bathroom. A moment later I heard the water running. I quickly got dressed in one of his more farmer john plaid shirts and used my belt to tie around my waist. I found  a black boxers  and sports shorts that I could wear. It barely covers my assets, but it will have to do. The shirt is long enough that it covers some of what is going on behind. I pull on my black converse classic and open the door.

Leaving to go across the corridor to see my babies, making sure they're okay. I lightly knocked on the door and opened it , Asher was sprawled on the bottom half of the bed scissor between his sister's legs. While she cradles her stuffed animal. The blanket that I placed on her last night was now discarded on the floor. This girl always got her foot in someone's face when she slept. Asher's head lifted when I entered the room and as he saw me he got up, I went over and gave him a pat and he licked my face as I snuggle him.

"Let your sister sleep, let's go check on your other sister". I told him and he followed out behind me. Closing the door, I crept down to Nina's floor because out of all the children I worry about her the most. It is not going to be easy being the only human in the pack. That's got to be hard for her. I passed a  young woman who gave me a disdainful look, I wanted to slap the look off her face but Nina was my priority at that moment making sure she was okay, was my mission this morning not some bitter, well I don't even know if she's bitter but her face looked like she sucked a lemon. Not my problem.

I knocked on Nina's door and let myself in.  She too was sprawled out on the bed. Asher jumped on it and licked her face and she groaned in protest. " All right Ash, let's go find something to eat before they wake up and then we go for our run. It was pretty early in the morning, just after 5 am. We went to the kitchen where we had our meeting last night. It took me a few tries but I eventually found it.  This kitchen was amazing, it was clean and shiny. Everything is chrome. Wow, was all I could manage to say. There was already a man and woman bustling around preparing breakfast. I have never seen so many eggs in my life. And damn bacon sizzling atop a stove. They both turned and noticed me standing in the middle of the kitchen sniffing the air, tongue lagging like a hungry dog.

"Hi, sorry. I was just going to make something for me and the kids, but I can wait until you finish" the man c****d his head and gave me a curious look.

"You must be the Alpha mate. I was told of your arrival last night."

"Yes, that me"

"Don't you worry about breakfast, that our job, just give us 2 mins and i can fix you a plate" she told me

"Oh, no I was just going to make something for the kids and then go for a run before they wake."

"Well breakfast is served at 06:00 am sharp, around her. The children can get something to eat then" she said with no room for argument. Okay then I guess that resolves that.

 "Come on Ash, time for our run" returning back to my room Zane was leaving the room as i turned the corner to our bedroom.

"Ah there you are?"

"Here I am" he smiled and a tug towards him developed from the centre of my chest. 

"Were going for a run, I'm just going to shift in the room, where you off to"

"smoothie , Training, breakfast, then a few pack things to catch up with. But don't worry I have time for you"

"I'm not worried," I smiled, "how often do you guys train?"

"Every morning"

"Okay"

"May I meet your wolf, it's only fair, you met mine, I never really got to introduce myself the last time I saw her?"

"Hmm, sure." I stepped into the room and went into the bathroom and stripped down and let Serenity take over.
