THE MOVING DAY (Saturday morning)

Shrikar reaches late by ten minutes and Anjana, true to her nature, is tensed to the tip of her toe. She is on the verge of shouting at Shrikar but he explains that he had gone to make arrangements for the transport. Anjana cools down with a sigh and with an inviting brood at Shrikar. Shrikar (looks straight into her eyes and with a smile): So, can we start arranging your things to the door, so that the transport guy finds it easier to do his job? Waking her out of her brood. Anjana: Ahem, yes of course. While packing off the things (from the PG accommodation), they accidentally touch at each other a couple of times and Shrikar tries his best to slither away from such situations. This, in turn, provokes Anjana to get closer to Shrikar. They reach the new, rented house. Shrikar helps Anjana in arranging things. First, they keep Panchali"s articles in the room assigned for her. Then they start arranging Anjana"s room. There is a romantic music playing in Anjana"s mind in which she remembers many instances which drew her to Shrikar. The romantic scenario is woven by a couple of scenes in which Anjana tries to seduce Shrikar in order to conquer him. When the music ends, Anjana is trying to place her vacant stereo package on to a loft where Shrikar is helping her by holding a makeshift stair. All of a sudden she slips and falls on Shrikar. Both of them fall on to the nearby bed; and the stair falls sideways. Shrikar (in a completely helpless manner): Anju, I have tried my level best to be a gentleman all day long. And it has been a long, long day. I think ...now I am losing control over my feelings. I fear..... I am falling in love with you. Anjana (grabbing the opportunity): I am feeling the same way for you too, Shri... A tsunami of feelings, overpowers her sense of reality and she ends up in kissing Shrikar – to let Shrikar kiss away the passions out of her. They end up making love. And the very same romantic music is heard again from Shrikar"s point of view of how he fell for Anjana"s innocent look. BACK TO THE PRESENT DAY OF MARRIAGE CELEBRATION Anjana and Shrikar are juddered off from their hallucinatory dream state by the sound of firecrackers... They look at each other and share a smile. Just then the Boss arrives and the brouhaha subsides into silence. He announces that Shrikar has been promoted as the Executive Director of the Virtual Realities Department --- as a wedding gift (and also in recognition of Shrikar"s hard work). Everybody applauds and Shrikar turns to Anjana saying "You are really lucky for me". The marriage ceremony goes on... THE GATHERING DISPERSES AFTER WISHING THE COUPLE... Anjana and Shrikar proceed on to their honeymoon nights where they absorb each other in to love making. Their passionate love making ignites the atmosphere, which is forced to react by producing a rainbow, seduced by the rainbow the ocean erupts in to millions of waves that gradually heats the sun to its core, which results in the earth ecstatically exploding into thousands of pieces, leaving behind an impression as if it had extracted the aroma of ambrosia. Once the earth explodes the seduction subdues itself to the eternal silence of satisfaction. THE DAY AFTER ON A PLEASANT NOON Anjana and Shrikar are having lunch on the beach. Suddenly, a commotion erupts and draws their attention: the untoward incident of a boy drowning... Lifeguards are scurrying to save him. Shrikar, too, desires to volunteer his services on a humanitarian impulse; but Anjana prevents him from going. Instead, she extracts a kiss from him! Anjana (argumentatively): What"s the matter with you? Such things are common on beaches. And above all, it"s our honeymoon; and I don"t want to lose your presence even for a split second. Shrikar (justifying his stand): Come on, Anju. Please understand. Here, a boy is drowning; and I want to help in rescuing him. Anjana (upset): I don"t feel any such moral compulsions. And Life Guards are there to tackle the situation. But here my lips are growing dry and I am really thirsting for a kiss. (After a pause, naughtily)Should I take help from someone else? Shrikar (confused): What are you saying? Anjana (with a smile): Just joking dear. Give me a kiss and go. After kissing Anjana, Shrikar heads towards the scene of commotion.
