Finding My Way Back

Chapter 7

Garrett

I open the door to see Roy and Bella on the other side of the door. I welcome them in and Bella makes her voice on how nicely my apartment known.  

“You must have a lot of cash to be able to afford this place.” She says. 

“Well, when your pack has been around for a while you learn how to make your money grow.” I said to her. 

“So, Roy says you have answers to why he turns into a wolf? Did he tell you I do as well? It's not often in fact I've only turned fluffy once, but I can see and hear more clearly and further. I crave more red meat now that I use to.” She says like it's all normal that she can turn into a wolf. 

“Ah yes I can answer some of your questions. I haven’t really been given permission to what all I can share with you, but I can tell you some things. Like you turn into wolfs because you are a reborn Earthtarian and before you ask what is that it’s a pretty long story and one, I wish to share will all of you including Aria once, but the short version they are Aliens from another planet basically.” I said. 

Roy and Bella looked at each other like I was nuts but kept wanted to hear me out.  

I continued, “No they are not green or anything creepy as your humans make aliens out to be, tho some of it is close to what a Creature looked like in the day. Now they are just pretty much shadows in the night.” At that point Roy looked at me with wide eyes like I had said something that he had seen. 

“What is it, Roy?” I asked. 

“Well, these Creatures you speak of do they really look like shadows or say clouds of big blackness that moves?” he asked. 

“We have only seen a handful of them as we have been trying to take of them as time goes on, but pretty much yes. Have you seen one of these around here?” My wolf and I were very anxious about what he was going to say. Had they found Aria, I mean if they had she wouldn’t be here now. 

“Well yes about three years ago, that night at the bonfire. Bella and I had just come back to the party after heading into the woods to do you know. That’s when Bella had noticed that the party had already been raided by the local police and everyone was gone. Knowing Aria wouldn’t have been carted off by the police as they only do that for those who have been drinking. Both of us looked for Aria seeing that her car was still there, Aria would have passed the breathizer test they give everyone before putting those that are really drunk on a bus and those that haven't been drinking to go home. I had gone into the woods to see if she had maybe gotten scared of the police thinking she was going to get into trouble. I was walking for maybe 5 minutes when I started to hear rustling and I used my new found hearing, tho I had no clue it was because I was a wolf. I heard muffle crying and a guy’s voice saying that they had better not tell anyone that he had done otherwise she would be dead before she could have any proof. I took off running not knowing what I was going to find. That’s when I saw Walter kicking Aria in the head to make her black out, he saw me and started running. I yelled to Bella that I had found Aria, I had bent down to check her pulse to make sure he hadn't killed her. I laid my coat over her and waited for Bella to get to her, which wasn’t long. I had told her to stay there with her friend. When I started to run that’s when I turned into a wolf, but at that moment it didn’t shock me since I was so mad that I had to get to Walter and make him pay.” He takes a breath before continuing his story. 

“I caught up with him faster than I would have if I had if I had been on two legs. I growl at him and lunged at him. He couldn’t have possible been able to throw me off him, but he did. That’s when I noticed his eye color was completely black and his form was like those creepy horror movies you see of a possessed little kid looking all creepy. 

He smiled creepily at me and said, “What do we have here? A reborn bastard of the revolting people who cursed us here to live our lives bodyless.”  

I had no clue what he was talking about, but as a wolf I couldn’t speak so I growled at him and leapt at him. He was ready for me and smacked me across the clearly in the woods. I ran at him and got my teeth into him and held on. My wolf instincts kicked in until he was a bloody mess and I was on the verge of collapsing exhaustion, my body shook and I was a human again. I ran at him one last time and punch him right in the face. He fell but before he passed out, he said that he would be back for me and my little girlfriend. That’s when a black cloud exited Walter’s body and blew away.” 

As I had listened to his story fear over took me with not knowing how bad Aria was hurt. My wolf was beyond pissed that someone had hurt their mate, as was I. Bella patted her husband’s leg and took over. 

“Aria wouldn’t really want us to tell you all this, but I have a feeling you should know and that she herself wouldn’t want to tell you cause then she would have to relive it. After I had gotten over the shock of seeing my boyfriend turn into a wolf, I looked my friend over, trying to get her to respond. I couldn’t. I checked her injuries and she was pretty badly bruised, she had blood in some places. Her pants and underwear were gone and her shirt ripped in pieces. I did everything I could remember from first aid training and tried to call 911, but being out in the middle of nowhere means no cell phone service. As soon as Roy has come back, he lifted Aria up and told me to follow him. I asked what happened to Walter. He told me he would tell me later, but that he was alive. We took her to the ER and that where we told them what we knew and how we found her. Being in a small town no one believed us that Walter did it, but they didn’t say anything. The cops were called and so were Aria’s parents. Aria had woken up shortly after the doctors left to check on other patients and had told us to get a nurse if she woke. She looked so small and so broken. I went and tried to hold her and she flinched away from me and then said she just didn’t want to be touched by anyone. I nodded my head and I told Roy to go get the doctor. The doctor came in and introduced herself, the doctor asked if she wanted us to leave and she about broke down at that thought, so the doctor let us stay. Being cautious at asking her what had happen. At first, she didn’t speak but slowly and dryly she told that when police came to break up the bonfire Walter who was talking to me grabbed my arm and told me that we should hide from the police as he was drunk and didn’t want to get caught. I told him no, but put a hand over my mouth and grabbed me dashing into the woods. I fought him the whole time, hitting him and tried everything the only thing I was able to get was his mouth and I screamed telling him to let me go. That’s when he lets me go and came over and kicked me until I passed out from the pain. I don’t know how long I was out, but when I came to, we were in a different area of the woods and he was over me, groping me, kissing me, I tried to get loose from him and almost hand when he grabbed me and calls me b***h you won’t be able to get loose from me. I scream for help and he puts his hand over my mouth and I cry wondering what he would do with me and I had my answer, he ripped my shirt off, pushed my bra off my breast and put his mouth on them and then bit them and I cried and wiggled to try and get away from him, but I couldn’t and that’s when he removes my pants and underwear and opened his pants and brought out his p***s and stuck it in my and I kept trying to get away from him, that when he gets frustrated and hits me in the face and my world went black. I woke up again just as he was finish getting off in me and that’s when he told me that if I told anyone that he would kill me and that’s when he kicked me until I passed out again and when I woke up, I was here. The doctor documented it all and said she would have to do a r**e kit on her. We stood behind the curtain that’s right at the door, until the doctor was done. Before the doctor left, she asked that the doctor not tell her parents about the whole being r***d part. The doctor said that she would let her tell her parents what happened as much as she wants. Then the doctor was going to leave and then asked her if she wants the Plan B pill in case there is a pregnancy out of this. Aria had said yes she didn’t want any reminders of what happened that night.” Bella had finished explaining. 

I just sat there thinking of everything they said. I can’t believe everything she had to go thru, as that pill would never work on her body and she had to deal with a pregnancy with that monster’s child. I breathed before saying, “Yes that was a Creature that possed Walter and he was the one that r***d Aria, tho I’m not sure he knew she was who she was otherwise he would have come back sooner to try and take her to his people. Have you seen anyone stalking you?” 

“Not that we know of, why?” Roy says 

“Because I hope they haven’t been able to find her, tho cause they have to only move around during the night or cloudy day to move around in cloud form. From studying them in the past they can only possess someone for a few hours at a time and then cause that uses up a lot of their energy it takes a couple years to gain enough energy to do it again. We don’t know where they are hiding but we know its deep in the earth core. We have making sure we close as many exits as we can so they can’t roam here but they always seem to have another spot. So, it may have just got to where ever they collect at and will be coming back with more. The king of their kind would have been able to sense her like her other mate could.” I say 

Bella interrupts, “Wait I thought you told Roy you were her mate. Are you saying she has two mates?” 

I smile at Bella and say, “Yes, just like you do.” Knowing that would shock both her and Roy. 

They both try to speak but I raise my hand to stop them. “Let me explain a little more. Twins in our race have two mates. Twins are super rare in our race; we don’t really know why this is. Even with our super advance technology. Now that I say that I will tell you that Aria and you Bella are sisters in your first life and are twins. Now that’s really all I can tell you for now as if I explain our history and everything else, I would also have to tell Aria so I rather tell you all at one time. Plus, I don’t know what everything else I can tell you; I hope you understand. I will have more to tell you more on Friday oh, ok?” I said. 

They got up and said that why won’t tell Aria just yet and that I better tell them everything on Friday, but they understand as they don’t know anything about the rules of these strange people. I told them good bye as I walk them to the door. 

I locked the door behind them and slid down the door, trying to wrap my mind around everything they told me, knowing when I tell Earendil and her parents they will want to bring her right to them, but I know I have to get her trust first, otherwise she may run. I pulled out my phone to see that I had 10 missed calls and 20 messages. Most of them was from Earendil, but every one of Aria and Bella’s family had called and texted. I groan and text back to Earendil that we need to get on a video call with whoever the royal family deem needs to know.  

Earendil texts back before I even had a chance to read all the messages everyone had texted me.
