Aria
I was about to look away when his eyes meet mine, I swear I’ve seen those eyes before, but I have no clue where. He broke away first, as someone bumped into him from behind trying to get into the classroom. I quickly look down at my notebook trying not to make eye contact again, as it made me a bit uncomfortable thinking he could see deep down into my soul and I don’t even let my best friend know everything about me. I hear my music stop for a few seconds to let me know that someone had texted me. I look down to see it was a text from Bella, quickly looking down reading what it says.
Bella: Are we still heading to the Mexican restaurant at 12:30 today?
Me: Yes, is Roy coming?
Bella: Yes, he was able to have work let him have an hour lunch today. I mean it helps when your dad is the head of the company.
Me: Awesome! I’ll see you at lunch, the teacher just walked in.
Bella: K see ya!
Roy was Bella’s husband; she was lucky as the guy who knocked her up actually took reasonability for knocking her up. I mean they had been going out since middle school, true school sweethearts. It wasn’t until the same night that they had waited to do it the first time out in the same woods that I had had gotten r***d. In fact, it was Roy would come to save me with Bella on his heels, but it was too late he had already caused the damage. The professor sat all his things down and pulled out a stack of papers from his bag and started handing them out. It was when he got to my row that I had noticed tall handsome guy had sat two seats from me. I blush as handsome guy hands me the stack to pass on to the others in my room. I grabbed the papers from him as he smiles at me and brushes my fingers as he lets go of them. I try not to show him that I had noticed what he did and grabbed the top and passed it down without looking at the person I was handing it to.
The professor started going over his subject’s rules and the syllabus, but I couldn’t pay attention as I could feel Mr. Hottie looking at me from the corner of his eye. For some reason this made me shiver down to the core for some odd reason. Yes, this guy was hot but I’ve seen tons of hot guys in the past that didn’t make me wanna go sit on his lap and just have my way with him. I groan at myself in my head, what was wrong with me, I really need to pay attention to what the professor was saying but I just couldn’t.
The professor has finally done with everything he wanted to say and told us what chapters to read by Wednesday as we will be discussing them then along with an exam about those chapters on Friday. I groan silently looks like he is going to be one of those teachers. At least my parents will keep Avia entertained for a bit while I do my homework, they are pretty awesome that way. I hope I can get in some reading tomorrow at the shop tomorrow as it can sometimes get pretty boring when there isn’t a rush. I start to pack away everything as the class ends so I can shoot out the door before anyone caught me.
If only I was that lucky, Mr. Hottie decides to come up to me and introduced his self.
“I’m Garrett, what's your name? He asks.
“I’m Aria.” I respond quickly while getting up to head out the door, but he is blocking my way out of the row of seats. I glance to the other side to see those students still getting their stuff ready to go.
“Hi Aria, it's nice to meet you. How are you today?”
I answered back, “I’m good, how are you?” I hate small talk so much.
“I’m good as well.” He smiles
Before he could ask any more questions, I snapped at him, “Is there something you want?” as no one ever talks to me, unless they want a booty call which if that’s what this guy wants, he is about to be sorely disappointed.
“It's just that I just moved to town and have no friends and thought you looked nice, enough to start a conversation with.” he says with a smile.
“Oh” I respond by looking down at my feet kind of feeling bad that I snapped at him. “I’m sorry I snapped at you, it's just that the only people who ever talk with me want one thing from me and I’m not that kind of girl and I’m kind of tired of guys thinking that about me.”
A look of anger flashes briefly in his eyes before it turns into a look of sadness,” Oh no I would never think that about you. I’m sorry you have to put up with that from other guys. May I walk you to your next class?”
“I don’t have any more classes today. I only take 2 classes a semester, as I work part time and I’m a full-time mom to a three-year-old. So, I'm actually going out to my car to head to the local mexican restaurant to meet my best friend and her husband for lunch.” I respond a little confused as to why he would care about what other guys would think of me.
“Oh, I thought I would talk with you while I walked you to your next class, if you had one.” He speaks.
Not really knowing why I’m a little disappointed that I could not talk with this guy a little longer I say, “Why don’t you join My friends and I for lunch, maybe get to know more people around here.”
“That would be great! I really love Mexican food. Tho I don’t have a car, I took the bus as my apartment is only 5 bus stops from here.” He responds.
“That's oh ok, it's only a little down the road, I can take you.” Did that just slip from my lips? I never take someone I barely know places. I learned my lesson about being nice to these hot guys when what happened that night. Plus, this guy could a killer and then where would my family do.
“That would be great, if you're sure you want to take me in your car. As I know you don’t know me and I want you to be comfortable.” he says.
“It's fine, the place is really like 3 or 4 minutes by car and across the street from here. More like two minutes if there is no traffic but during this time of the day there is tons of traffic.”
He moves out of the rows of seats to let me pass and says, “Lead the way Aria.” I move out of the row out the door and out to my car. I unlock the car and hurry in as it was freezing cold outside. He slides in looking a little too big to be in such a tiny car and I start to giggle.
He looks at me and asks, “What's so funny?”
“It's just that you look huge in my tiny car and I thought it was funny,” I respond.
He lets loose a laugh and responds, “Most cars are not made for people like me.”
“People like you? You mean there are more like you?” I played a look of shock to my remark. I have no clue why he is making me feel so comfortable to be around. “Hey let me text my friend really quick to let her someone else is coming to lunch so she can get a big enough table while the car warms up.” I said.
“Oh ok text away, I am not going anywhere.” The way he said that make me think he didn’t just mean texting my friend. I really need to keep my eye on this guy, cause I can feel myself already falling for him.
I texted Bella to let her know that there will be another joining us for lunch and that he was really hot. I put my phone in my purse in the backseat and then put the car in drive and left the school parking lot.
