"Come on Violet, our ride will be here any minute now."
"I'm coming Amy. I was just making sure I wasn't forgetting anything." Shaking my head I hurriedly shut and locked the door and ran to the elevator. "About time. You take forever to get ready."
"We have been roommates for the last 3 years and I have always waited on you. I am running late due to classes and you want to try and berate me!" Laughing, I got on the elevator with her.
Shrugging her shoulders, Amy said "Well I'm just excited to be going home. I can't wait for you to meet my family. You will love them and they you!"
Getting off the elevator, we say goodbye to the front desk lady and the security guard before walking out of the building. Just as we go to set our bags down, a black SUV pulls up infront of us and stops. The front door opens and a guy that has to be around 6ft tall comes around and grabs our bags and tosses them into the back.
Here I am just gawking at the guy. I mean it's kind of hard not to. He is 6ft tall, dark brown hair, and VERY muscular. I look over at Amy who is just smiling at me and trying hard not to start laughing.
I lean over and whisper in her ear "Have you ever seen a guy that looks like this. I mean DAMN!" With this Amy just doubles over laughing her ass off soo hard she is practically crying.
The driver quickly comes over and grabs her saying, "Amy, are you ok? Why are you crying?"
"Oh my god. I am fine Bryan." Wiping her eyes, "Brian, this is Violet, my roommate and best friend. Violet, this is Brian, a very close friend to my family." Brian raises his eyebrow at her then looks at me and says "Nice to meet you. I'm really not sure how you were able to live with Amy for 3yrs, but congratulation on surviving!" "Nice to meet you to" I replied smiling. With that, he turned around and got into the car and we followed.
"How long of a ride will this be? Amy didn't bother to tell me, she just told me that I have to come." Looking at me in the rearview mirror, Brian replied "It will take 1hr to get to the airport and another 7hrs on the plane. Once we land, it will be 2hrs to get home."
My mouth fell open and I looked at Amy who was acting like she was busy. "Are you kidding me Amy Nicole Strutter! 10hrs to get to our location! Oh man, you really owe me big time. You know how much I hate long trips." "What's wrong with long trips? I find them calming" Brian asked while he drove.
"Well, Violet tends to get uncomfortable sitting for long periods of time and gets pretty restless." Amy responded. "Look Violet, just trust me, it will all be worth it in the end. You finally get to go out of town and enjoy yourself for 3 months. No worries. Just relax and have fun! My family can't wait to meet you." Glaring at her, I put in my headphones and stared out the car window until we arrived at the airport.
Getting out, we each grabbed a bag and went to wait in line to get on the plane. Once seated, I put my headphones back in and looked out the window, dreading these 7hrs I will have to be cooped up. After about 2hrs, I fell asleep and was woken up to Amy shaking me telling me that it was time to get off.
Smiling, she said "See, I told you everything will be fine!" Following Brian, we walked out of the plane, into the airport, and grabbed our bags. Waiting outside was 3 black SUV's with tinted windows. Looking confused, I looked over at Amy and asked "Why are there three of them?" "My parents are just overprotective. Don't worry about it." Then we got into the middle SUV and was on our way.
Amy's POV
Crap, how am I going to tell Violet that I am a werewolf. She thinks we only exist in movies and books. Looking at Brian I mindlinked him and told him that she has no idea werewolves exist.
"Are you f*****g kidding me Amy. Does your family know this?"
"Well not exactly."
"What does that mean....not exactly?"
"I mean I told them that she knows about my family, but all she knows is their names." I hurried up and looked away from him. I could tell he was pissed.
"I have to tell them Amy. You should've prepared Violet for this."
"I know, I screwed up. Go ahead and tell them." I sighed waiting on the mindlink from my family which didn't take long at all.
"Amy, are you joking, tell us you are joking. Violet really has no idea!" Man my dad was pissed!
"I'm really sorry dad. I just couldn't figure out a way to tell her. I didn't want to leave her alone and I know she could really use some time away and relax."
"We will talk when you get here honey." My mom replied. Sighing, I looked out my window for the duration of the way home.
