Nova The next day, a heatwave bared down hard on all of Wintercrest. Usually, I found it highly unprofessional to bare my shoulders at work, but even in a silk, tank-top and my airiest skirt, the heat was suffocating – even at 9am. I hoped Dominic wouldn’t judge me too harshly for it. When I arrived at Alpha house that day, the butler informed me that Aria was out playing in the pool with her father. My chest twisted at the thought of the pool, hoping Aria wouldn’t want to play in it all day.
